Hello guys,

I just want to share something. I have started 3 years ago with my first website about a certain niche. This website I spent a lot of times backlinking myself and exchanging links with others. I was so focused on ranking all my keywords for that website. 1 year later I got ranked first locally on google for almost all keywords targeted and now it gets around 150 unique visitors per day. I know it is not a lot but these visitors are valuable and they pay.

Now after a while I thought the site will keep improving and increasing in traffic. But I realized that this is not true. While you can use the site's authority to gain new traffic, it basically stagnates a bit especially if you have a local website. But I still had hopes for it and I kept backlinking. Eventually I got tired of it and said to myself ok, this site is making me this amount of money, let's open new websites like it and see what will happen. This happened around 8 months ago. I opened two other websites like it. My revenues quadrupled now.

The idea is this, if you have a website and a strategy that works for it. YOU HAVE TO SCALE IT. Most people here know this, I know but I was a newbie once and I can tell you it would have been very nice if someone would have said this to me 3 years ago!!! I wasted too much time keeping hope for only one site!! KEEP IN MIND, ONE SITE IS ONLY ONE SPOT ON GOOGLE.

So for the newbies, I have one thing to say: KEEP GOING and NEVER GIVE UP!!

Thank you for inspiration. Sometimes it is hard to go forward, when you invest money, time and don't see results. Some projects takes really long time to start to bring money.

Yes I understand what you mean. I would say if a site takes more than 6 months to bring more revenues than what you have put down, then you need to find another stategy, another niche or another product to offer.

With my experience I realized, it does not only take backlinking and rankings but also quality and look of the website you are promoting. People have to like your website. Simplicity and Look and feel are keys.

If some projects are taking too much time to bring money don't wait for them, try others. Don't forget them neither, just keep a steady amount of backlinking without necessarily blasting them like some people here do. Google is not stupid. They know where we get our links from.

One last thing, don't invest beyond your capabilities. For example, if you can use 100 dollars a month for investing, try to use it wisely on a new site. If you pay this 100 dollars on this new site JUST ONCE, this site should bring you around 50 dollars/month in around 6 months time. Then you can put some money on it from time to time just to keep your rankings up.

Yes, but sometimes it worth to wait more and invest without any profit. I am trying to establish new project and I know that it will require a lot of investments and it will take quite long time to give profit. But I believe that in long term perspective I will get few time more than I invested.

I totally agree with you. You just don't give up. my learning curve was 2 years before I started seeing money.

When you have been trying for so long and you don't see any money coming in, you may come to think that this whole internet marketing business is a sham. Well I didn't came to that point because I always believed there is a lot of money to be made from the internet.

I a new mom and my husband has to work overseas, and I really wished he doesn't have too. And that was my motivation, that is why I worked hours and never gave up.

Happy to say he doesn't have to go away now.
