I don't know about spreadsheet file but if you can arrange the info in text files, split by new lines, it's possible.

Yes, it is possible to read data from txt files or xls. In both cases you have access to any line in the file.

When some of actions (clicks usually) weren't recorded you can use the Pro Branch Builder, it is useful also when you create some universal or full of AJAX templates. So if you click button and don't get action recorded you can use backspace to go back and record it with the Pro Branch Builder.
