although its a pain in the ass ive found more citations, videos does the trick.

i always do way too may citations, and then optimize onsite, and get some killer backlinks and that will do the trick

Well no I would only target 2 of the most competitive keywords as after that im not sure how much use it is getting the same links to the same site.

i thought Mr E's service guaranteed that he would restrict the maximum number of links going out off any single page - and by definition, he would open up new pages on other blogs to accommodate new clients keywords which suggest he has a small-to-medium sized blog network of hundreds, possibly thousands?

if thats so, your concerns shouldnt be an issue as each keyword would have HIGH PR CONTEXTUAL LINKS from different sources within Mr E's blog network which means you would be able to target as many keywords as you like.

if push came to shove and you were concerned Mr E's service was likely to provide you with the same links over and over, you could use a different supplier for each separate keyword youre targeting - i.e. keyword 1 = 50 contextual links from Mr E, keyword 2 = 50 contextual links from Mr F, keyword 3 = 50 contextual links from Mr G?.

I highly doubt that is how it works. I think I remember seeing the post saying something along the lines of "I will limit the amount of homepage links" or something like that. There's no guarantee as to how long the links will stay up on the home page, just that it will start on the home page and eventually be pushed down.

Ok guys,

Ive seen a few posts lately with people asking if its possible to rank above
places for local seo.......... Yes its possible and this is how I did it.

So a bit about my situation, im targeting the dental niche and where I live
there is a very high authority dental website that comes up first no matter
what you type about dentist [city] it is always above places and #1, country
wide.

Now I have been directly below places for about 2 months now desperately
trying to get above places but nothing was appearing to work, whether it was
link pyramids, edu's or whatever nothing would push me past places and and
above the high authority site that was already above places.

There was one critical factor that my game plan was missing that I had overlooked.
In my head I thought im building links so wtf is going on why cant I get any
higher.

And you no what the missing link to my problem was......
HIGH PR CONTEXTUAL LINKS

I completely disregarded them and was focusing way to much on quantity and
not quality. Within 3 days of me obtaining these links my site sky rocketed
above places and above the authority site.

So theirs a lessons for you guys, while having a high number of links does help
you get to the first page its a different ball game trying to obtain that #1
spot, stop putting so much emphasis on quantity and more on quality.

I use the usual promotions to optimize videos with bookmarks, diggs and some decent back links, then go to fiver and buy some comments and views.

If it's a local search term, ranking on page 1 for video is easy. Then go to fiver and buy a pixel pipe acct and distribute that video and geo tag them all and add the nap and you will have a nice number of citations. Also for a local client you want to rank his places page along with a feeder site and a video.

Look up the search term and many times there will be a slot between the a and b map. If there is a slot, go after that guy and reverse engineer that site. This feeder site will also serve as a killer back link and a great citation(don't forget to add the kml map and nap info). to the clients main places page.

Add home page back links to the clients main site...yes the kind you rent and pay a monthly fee for. If the client doesn't pay you then bye bye back links. Overkill you say? If you want to rank in cities like Boston, la or chicago, you will need it
. Plus if you have a client paying you 1.5k a month its worth it to pay 200 bucks a month to make sure you stay there?

You want to keep the clients site relatively white hat so to speak, but blast away on the feeder site and if you go overboard and sand boxed just do another.

3 properties on page 1 equals retainer fees and a huge bragging piece for referrals.

but my problem is .. that most keyword searches are done on the romanian google ..

I strictly cap how many posts are on the homepage, older posts will roll off on to page 2. To rank in specific keywords it is depend on the competition. I use market samurai to check how competitive the keywords I targeted. Using Market Samurai you can analyze the backlinks of your competitors. So, it is easy to me how many quality and quantity backlinks I need to defeat my competitors.
