How to sleep forcefully?

Focus on contracting all of the muscles you can on inhales, and relaxing them when you exhale. Start from your toes and work your way up to your face. It feels weird at first, but it does two things:

  • Physiologically, it relaxes your body and you'll notice your heartrate, etc. slowing down
  • It relaxes your mind and keeps your focus on the physical processes instead of some argument you had or what you'll have for lunch tomorrow
I was taught this by a therapist. It's kinda tough to do at first but in time you'll notice yourself getting pretty sleepy after a while.

Cutting back on the energy drinks and caffeine in general is a big part of it. To much of either can actually cause a feedback loop between your heart and your brain which causes your brain to think you are under extreme stress. A set schedule never hurt either. I know I have a tendency to complete poop on my circadian cycle by pushing myself to far.

you just need to get drunk enough, im about to pass out right now. simple as that.

is that why i always feel so sleepy after i take a big shit?

change your habbits. If you can't sleep at night, sleep during the day instead and stay up all night :P

Yup, change your habits into some more exercise and then read a ton right before bed. You're sure to sleep earlier.

Stand up in your bed feet on your pillows.

Hit your head hard against the wall.

Fall and sleep ;)

Keep your self busy at day , then take some beers or wine at night , watch a movie with your room light turned off (so your eyes will get sleepy, lol) , after you get drunk , pretty much you will fall asleep .. so , the next day , you will wake up at day .. and if you can change your sleep habits the first day , pretty much you will be able to sleep properly every night !

Hope you get over it .. :)

If youre in the US go to Walgreens or CVS and buy some Melatonin.

It puts you to sleep but if you take the correct dosage you will wake up really early full of energy.

Id start with 2.5mg. Basically if you take to much you have that hungover feeling. Once you find your dosage its awesome.

unhealthy/short term:
nyquil/benadryl/weed

long term:
proper exercise, proper sleep schedule, mediation

Melatonin is great and perfectly safe to take. Take about 25mg 1 hour before bed. There have been clinical studies of 600mg+ and to my knowledge there is no known toxicity level. Though, the dosage i stated is usually sufficient. You can take this with many other natural sleep herbs as well like Camomile Tea or the pill version of this as well. Read the wiki below.

I think all marketers like us do similar with their schedules.

I once read an article about it. This is a tactic that works:

1. wake up at desired time each day (530am is my preferred time)
2. Go to sleep when you are tired and only tired.

Doing this, your body will get used to going to bed based on its own needs. Your body will KNOW it has to be up at 530am and will adjust accordingly.

The first few days are TOUGH but you have to fight through it and want it. After that point it gets easier.

To even get on that schedule to start I sometimes would stay away more than 24 hours and basically skip one or two nights of sleep to finally go to bed at a decent hour then start with the steps above.

i have the same problem and mines was more serious i had anxiety, there some meds you can take they make you sleep like a baby they practically shut you down yet they are (highly addictive).i will try medical MJ

Another vote for weed from me. I'm a total insomniac without it. I don't always smoke to get stoned but my 10.30pm joint is a ritual now.
