Ok guys,

Ive seen a few posts lately with people asking if its possible to rank above
places for local seo.......... Yes its possible and this is how I did it.

So a bit about my situation, im targeting the dental niche and where I live
there is a very high authority dental website that comes up first no matter
what you type about dentist [city] it is always above places and #1, country
wide.

Now I have been directly below places for about 2 months now desperately
trying to get above places but nothing was appearing to work, whether it was
link pyramids, edu's or whatever nothing would push me past places and and
above the high authority site that was already above places.

There was one critical factor that my game plan was missing that I had overlooked.
In my head I thought im building links so wtf is going on why cant I get any
higher.

And you no what the missing link to my problem was......
HIGH PR CONTEXTUAL LINKS

I completely disregarded them and was focusing way to much on quantity and
not quality. Within 3 days of me obtaining these links my site sky rocketed
above places and above the authority site.

So theirs a lessons for you guys, while having a high number of links does help
you get to the first page its a different ball game trying to obtain that #1
spot, stop putting so much emphasis on quantity and more on quality.

Good tips. They are definitely a must-have in SEO. Not even just outranking Places, but any sites. However if they are a monthly fee, they can get expensive.

Yea thats true, I purchased them with a one off fee.

Interesting, I will have to try this.

Thanks

You should have read about pagerank right from the start, would have saved you a lot of time.

It has never been about unique content, not leaving footprints, having an ultra fast hosting... it has always been about authority backlinks. All the other factors are only advantageous if the competition is weak as well.

And it is in plain view too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pagerank

To expand on this, if you have a link from the white house, you will never be deindexed for dupe content.

So simple and good explanation of what newbies should take care of.

Would you be willing to share your one off high pr contextual links source? And how many links did you purchase?

That is absolutely true. When I build micro niche websites, I only concentrate on quality of the links. My first page ranking website have below 20-30 backlinks. But most of them are from high PR pages which are not spammed.

I couldn't agree more!

Im wondering this as well. Wheres a good source to buy such links and how many did it take?

Yeah. Few more details, please. I mean, even just a starting point for those of us unsure where to research for these kinds of links. Comment spamming may be free, but if your niche has the money in it, I think the ROI of contextual links from high page rank sites can be more than worth it.

Are these links more often paid on an ongoing basis or one-time fees?

ooooooh.... thats killer information - how many links did you buy and were they all the same anchor text or did you buy a bundle using several anchor texts?

either way, many thanks for sharing your research.

I actually bought the high pr links from MrE, a service provider here at BHW. I bought the biggest package which gets you 50 links, this did an excellent job when I posted this on the 4th until now my site is still number #1 and going strong.

Here is a link to the service you wont be disappointed guys trust me this is awesome.

I only targeted my main keyword as it gets the most searches by far. But with the service I used as above, you can target up to 2 keywords.

Thanks for the advice although it's a good thing that this is only necessary for super tough competition. Imagine if we had to pay $100 bucks a month for each site for such a service (buying links) just to be able to get to the top. It would cut away at our profits in a sizable way.

I think its important to note that where I got the links was only a one off buy its not per month. However he does have 2 services, you can either get the one off deal or the monthly service, as I was only testing it I went with the cheaper option being a one off $100 but the service completely exceeded my expectations.

Like I said nothing else would get me above places and the high authority site and this did so there's not much more I can say.

Thanks for the awesome review Hybrid, I am glad to hear that your site is still sitting at #1 for a competitive local term. :)

home page links will do the job and so will mr e.

although its a pain in the ass ive found more citations, videos does the trick.

i always do way too may citations, and then optimize onsite, and get some killer backlinks and that will do the trick

ahhh, easy decisiion eh? if you had a client you were looking to rank above the results in G Places for several keywords, would you repeat the process for each one?

sounds like Mr E is going to be having more work than fun in his new grindhouse.

Well no I would only target 2 of the most competitive keywords as after that im not sure how much use it is getting the same links to the same site.
