Getting Free links- Newbie method

Hey guys, if you are new like me you may overlook a free and white hat method of getting links back to your site especially if you have a retail type site.

I am sure this is very "newbish" but I did not even think about it until today.

I googled the term "submit coupon" and now I am following the results.
Many sites do not require registration at all, a handful ask for email addresses and so far all have a spot for your url and a description of the coupon.

So say my keyword is dog crap I post the coupon code "DoggieDoo" and the website url, and in the description I put "10% off the best Dog Crap on the internet" !

Anyway, if it helps just ONE person I am happy.

I am not sure, I just started but I have found that some of these post your "coupon" on there main page under "New coupons" which are often High PR. Now I know they are likely no follow but it looks natural and you never know what kind of effect it may have on rankings. We will find out I suppose.
