Web hosting sites that don't need verification?

I signed up with hostgator but they wanted me to scan some things and send it to them to verify and I don't have a scanner so I got a refund. I'll do it if I have to but are there other hosting sites I can use like godaddy that don't ask me to scan stuff or do they all do this?

I guess, hostgator was asking you for a scan copy of driving license or passport. This is a normal procedure that all the reputable web hosts opt to defense against fraud.

A quick photoshop will do. I photophop mine when I registered hostgator. There's lots hosting that don't nedd verification.You can try hostable, hostwinds, ablehosting.

I've never had to provide that nonsense and never would. Of course I use my real info and the most I've gotten is a call back to verify I placed the order. Something you gave them must of tipped off the fraud alert. I don't like hostgator, godaddy or 1&1. All on my list of businesses I won't give a dime to. Hit up some website hosting forums and you'll find a ton of good deals that won't put you through this nonsense.

Ah ok, we had some regions in India, the UK, and a couple other countries temp-blocked due to large volumes of spam coming from those ranges across several websites on our network. Seems many of my content sites are the target of peoples' scrapebox campaigns on here, lol. I've removed this block so you should be able to access it now.

All of the ones that failed when I checked host-tracker appeared to be Ukraine-related which is also a region we blacklisted malicious IP's from recently, and which I've also mostly removed from our temp block. If you check again, should pass most of them except the ranges we've seen steady volume of malicious traffic from. Appreciate the feedback!
