My comment not showing up

So, I'm trying to post some comments on edu sites and I'm getting a headache here.

Why is it that on some sites, I hit submit and nothing happens? I'm fine when it says "moderator has to approve it" or whatever but literally nothing happens sometimes.

Sometimes they are moderated and do not bother telling you and sometimes they know they are not going to approve them. Just add them to your list and check them in a couple of weeks to see if your comment shows up.

You're probably blacklisted on askimet or similar. this started happening with me (no awaiting moderation message) and I then found out i had been blacklisted by askimet.

Depends on the comment scirpting. Some comments say "Your comment is awaiting moderation". Some aren't as good, and will not say anything, even though the admin can see the comment in their admin page.

As far as I know,some need Moderators approval

That is normal. Members who haven't posted much sometimes have a few select posts moderated. This will not happen when you have over maybe 100 or so posts (don't know the exact number).

And sometimes Posts by new members may be subject to moderation to avoid spam and to protect their community.

Try checking your post after about a day. It should show up.

Or there are indeed no moderators to moderate your comments. This happens a lot on sites that receive a large number of comments.
