To all intense of purposes, no, not really. I believe the penalty (which is sitewide) is due to excessive use of same anchor texts. This is a lesson to all of us to make sure your anchor text link profile looks as normal as possible with many variations.

Yes, I had plenty of pages all with long good quality unique content we seo'd. The problem was building links to all pages (good quality nothing spammy) using a very high ratio of the exact keyterm in the anchor text.

It is always worth running a couple of competitors from the top 10 through Market Sams competition model and checking their anchor text profiles before you start - I have since done this for a number of the pages and can easily see (compared to mine) that my profile sticks out like a sore thumb......lesson learn'd!

This was new territory for me having not had any of my sites (in over 5 years) do this....I have continued to build links albeit using a huge variety of anchor texts and adding content to the site 3 times per week (long 600+ and unique). The rankings continue to be sub 50+ for all pages including the homepage so personally, I think its going to be 3-6 months before I see improvement once the new links I am building start to filter through. This is providing my linking profile with more diversity than previously.

3 times had this kind pain. Thanks to big g, in 1-2 months, those sites were much stronger. Did nothing during that time. Just waited and applied for reconsideration. (of course content adding went on as usual but no backlinking)

This site continues to be indexed. Are you talking about your 3 sites that were de-indexed? I say that given typically you only submit a reconsideration request when your site has been removed from serps. In my case I have a -50 to -100 penalty being applied....it remains indexed albeit in the pit of the G00gle abis....

dude, sorry to see this - to be honest if you don't laugh sometimes you could scare yourself into what else you could do, so just go with the humor angle is my tack....!

"Our records indicate that your account has been deactivated".

Why not just say - "Your account has been banned".

All of my sites have done the same thing. 2 of them has been down since July. In Aug. I created a new site and last week it went from 3k UV a day to just 50.

I have to start from, scratch and hope not to repeat whatever mistake was made.
