Free Press Release Distribution - Send me your PRs

I am trying to do a press release site and get it going. I still have a lot to do and a lot of content to write - a lot of blank pages on the site still. But in order to get the feeds and syndication set up etc. I need content.

I have a basic submission form live on the site now. Yes I know it is not pretty, I am going to recreate it with Gravity at some point but for now it will let me accept submissions.

Your press release can include 3 images and a video. SEO the heck out of it, include your keywords and I will hyperlink them. The only thing I ask is that if you are going to use an auto-poster please throttle it so you don't hammer the site, its on shared hosting. No adult / hate speech / etc. If you want to PR your dating service or something I suppose thats cool, but no sex toys or anything that will prevent me from getting my syndication partners.

I am building this site mostly for my own use, the wolf in sheeps clothing that I can use to seed my own PRs, but at some point I figured I'd see if I could make a couple of bucks with it. For now it is free. I do a TON of press release marketing because it works and you can leverage the hell out of it to build a good image for your website.

So, lets help each other out. Submit all the press releases you want. You get PR/SEO, I get content to get my site kicked off. These will get queued up and go through my "process" so I can beta test / work out the workflow kinks. The PRs do need to be of reasonable quality and I reserve the right for editorial oversight meaning I may tweak or clean them up etc.

I'm going to be working on this site a lot over the next few days and it will come together fast, I work fast. Its a brand new site but I am going to be doing consistent off site SEO for a long time on it to build it up. So get your PRs in now, reap the benefits of my efforts later.

If you are submitting a PR purely for SEO purposes and you DO NOT want it shopped around to actual media, please note that in the comments on the form. Otherwise they may get fed to actual media contacts. The whole angle with this site is that we do NOT just e-mail blast a database of a couple hundred thousand people. We do targeted personal contacts. We also do some off site SEO and social media distribution with your press release / video / images.

Yep I'm still accepting free PRs, I will probably keep it free for quite some time until it gets built up.

I've had 2 PRs come through and posted them last night. Now I need to work on getting my feeds and distribution set up. I hadn't been paying as much attention to this site as I've been rolling out others, but putting some effort back into it.

Send me your PRs! I need the content in order to setup categories, feeds, features and test.

You can take a look at the 2 that are posted now to see how I format them. I am probably going to add PDF format versions, I have to make a template first.

Hi, thank you for publishing the PR.
The only thing I did not like - contact email is published in plain text for all spammers to grab. Can you remove it please? A link to a webform that sends an email to the PR submitter would be great, see prweb.com/EmailContact.aspx?prid=5029734 as an example.

A PDF will be great, maybe even autoupload it to your accounts at a few docsharing sites? You'll get links to your PR service and the customer's site? Just an idea...

Yep, the docsharing thing is what I was thinking of. Let me work on a solution for the email address/media contact, I have an idea.

I've started trying to get some distribution setup, the problem is its a catch 22, you need a bunch of stuff so it looks worthwhile, but you can't really market distribution until you get the partners.

Ok I added an obfuscator for the emails.

I was trying to think of some other features that would make the site appealing. One thing I was thinking was that for each entity that submits a PR, they would get a page in a directory, not a directory like phpld, but an actual page within the menu hierarchy so it looks like a page to search engines. This might provide additional SEO benefit.

Any other ideas?

The emails not showing is a good move.
Anything that could add to natural seo, is a great idea too, the directory idea would be a good idea too.

Just an FYI, the tip boxes have white text so you can't see the text in em with the white background of the box.

Another idea - create personal RSS feed for each entity with all PRs they submitted.

Yep it will be free for awhile. Actually, I may just keep it free if I find a way to monetize it later. The benefit I get out of it is that I will then be able to seed my own PR's through it without having to pay $25-100 each time ;-) I've been working on setting up backend distribution. I'm trying to do something different then the PRWeb's of the world and different from all the free PR sites that are basically just article directories.

If you submit it using the form on the site it makes it easier for me because they get queued up, but PM is fine too.

I do ongoing offsite SEO for the site, and one of the things I am going to be doing is round-up videos of the PR's each week (when I have time) that I will then do video submits with, for extra backlinks and publicity.

I'm working on custom author pages which will let you then pull the individual feeds. I was thinking of making it more automated with TDO Mini Forms or gravity forms, but maybe it is better to have a manual step.
