Scrapebox good enough for proxy harvesting?

Just out of curiosity for scrapebox users... I use another tool called Poizon Proxy Processor and it harvests proxies just fine. I get a lot of "passed" results when I test majority of the proxies that it harvest... However, when I go to import them over to Scrapebox, majority of them give 404 time outs.

Is this tool reliable for testing proxies the way they should be tested? One of the tools are inaccurate, and I'm curious to know which one.

Also, do most of you just google sites online to find proxy lists and add it to the harvester? out of about 6k tested proxies so far it harvested, I'm sitting at only 74 proxies. Back a few years, it never seemed this hard to find a good working list (at least IMO).

I hope you didn't get the Poizon Proxy Processor full of viruses. Might be the reason you're seeing different results

It's in a VM, and some of the results were good in Scrapebox, but not all of them. No viruses on my end.

IPtest checks to see if the proxy will forward your IP. The whole point of using a proxy is to hide your real IP address, so you don't want proxies that will do this. Generally speaking, these proxies are worthless for SB purposes.

Also, where did you download your copy of Poizon? It's actually a decent software, but the version that was shared at BHW is full of viruses and will steal your BHW password.

Poizon isn't very good at proxy checking to begin with, but the reason for different results can be several things not limited to settings, functionality, and the proxies themselves. There's plenty of tools out there that can help you spot-check large proxy lists, but the SB proxy checker is always gonna be your final test before you actually use the proxies in SB.

I got my copy from HackForums through the OP via PM. Just loaded it in a worthless VM.

So as far as the proxies in scrapebox, i shouldn't use that IP testing feature? I don't even understand the purpose of including this in ScrapeBox if it's not really beneficial.

Scrapebox is amazing for harvesting proxies. I think too many people make mistake of not adding more public sources to their SB.

I added all the public sources I could find.

Now when I scrape public proxies I get 45,000 - 50,000 proxies.

After removing duplicates I end up with around 15000 unique public proxies.

If you would like my scrape list just pm, ill send it to you. Peace.

Also I quit testing proxies. I just load all 15000 into the main list and scrape away. I get easy 500 connections and tons of urls

I actually did the same thing. I googled a few sources and added them to SB as well. Out of like 11k harvested, only about 70 was tested for good. Not sure if the results were that low because of the "IP test" feature being enabled or what. Not sure of the impact on the testing.
