Ok guys, my apologies for the log issue, it was just the log output and everything else should have been working fine "under the hood", you shouldnt have lost any time working just unable to see what it was doing. I have uploaded the update (v1.4.3) so you can get this and it will all be working fine again.

I let it run a little over 14 hrs and I only 5 blogs comments confirmed?? only 5 comments posted?? I use fast private proxies, soooo... is this how this program work?? Am I missing something? Otherwise, I guess I'll get a refund.

This is not common, have a look around, lots of people are seeing double or tripple figure confirmed links in 24 hour periods so it would appear there is something not right with how you are running it. Are you using the outbound link limit or PR limit. If you give me some detail about your setup I can tell you what it is that you are doing that is holding it back. Don't post your keywords/anchor texts or anything here, if you want to tell me them just PM them so it isn't public.

Hi Jim,

noticed a small issue. I have three instances running on my VPS and two of them just crash on me after a couple minutes or sometimes seconds. Just weird. I tried it on my virtual machine with Windows XP SP3 and there seems to be no problem. Do you know what could be the reason here? I just ask, because then I can let the guys from the VPS company take a look at this issue. It is just funny that one instance is running smooth and without a problem.

And a second issue that I noticed is that NHS posts a lot of comments to root domains which does not make any sense other than increasing the "commenst posted" number. I guarantee that most root domains do not accept comments so you should have a look at this and maybe change the code so that it really only posts comments on pages where it can post a comment?

Could you please just add in the option to auto save log-in information so we don't have to log back in after every update?

Also, could you possibly add in the ability to add a RSS feed as a project? Would be amazing :)

The crash is your outbound link limit and it can be gotten round by simply turning it off and letting it run for 10-30minutes, after this turn it back on and it will work again.

The idea about the root pages isnt a bad one, I will probably add that at some point as an optional setting as not everyone will want to filter them out.

You could add an RSS feed as a page profile and it would still generate backlinks, it wouldn't submit to RSS aggregators though (maybe in future update). I know the login thing annoys some people I will make it so the next update is the last time you need to enter in these details.

Guess I read 10 out of the 13 pages now ... gonna give it a try. Already spent more on less useful things I guess :D

Thank you for the log fix.

The support by the developer is just one of many reasons to buy this software. No I am not related/affiliate etc.

Just upgraded to 1.4.3.0, now it does not seem towant to start the program at all.
I get to the 1st screen which show "Your version of NO Hands SEO is up to date", but when i click on the button "no Hands SEO" to start it, nothing happens. Was working just fine before i upgraded.

Please advise

Server has been poop again so Ive told them to just upgrade it, it should be fairly seamless and shouldn't affect much. There is nothing wrong with the app so if it doesn't log in just give it a few seconds to a minute and try again, should get in eventually.

Is the process running in your task manager? What exactly is happening? The login and start up has not been changed for many updates now so I do not see what is wrong here, you could always try downloading the update from the members area as the problem appears to be limited to your copy.

To update using the update from the members area download page you just need to extract it to your install directory and overwrite any files it asks about.

Seems like the update damaged the exe file.
I copied the old exe file from the laptop to the desktop which was upgraded, then tried to start again, this time no problem at all.

Will try to download the update from members area and try again to update

All good now, i ran the update again, and whilst it took long time to download it, it is working now and this time i can start it without any problems

bought it several hours ago and running.
I've re-read this thread but maybe I missed this one.
How to add our own AA list?
Thanks

jimbobo, I created a profile with a "page" instead of a "website". After 24hrs later, I get 157 "confirmed" blog comments(which is a lot, because I was getting like 6 in 12 hrs.) However after checking almost a third of them manually, I cannot find a single one with my comments. Why are they "confirmed" then?? I doubt there is a single live backlink within the list.

You add lists by going to the "Settings" tab and then to the "Add and Block Lists" tab. There is an "Add Targets" box where you can browse to your .txt list and then choose whether it is for blog comments or trackbacks and whether to add to all profiles or just one.

I can guess the type of page you are posting and I can say that I think it is an issue with how the link is detected. I am testing a fix for this now to see if it is working better now. I hope to release a fix for this tomorrow.

Hi I finally just got round to buying no hands seo!

I am running this on a semi "test" site..

I am reviewing the log for this profile and am checking the 'Posted Blog Comment' link but I too like the others above don't see a backlink? Is there a way of seeing if these are being posted on an Auto Approve site? If this software can't make backlinks does this make it ineffective?

Only Tonoman and one other person that has emailed me is seeing non-existent links being reported as confirmed, the other users are looking at the posted links rather than the confirmed links. There will be a small percentage of confirmed links compared to posted links but this is when a comment / trackback has been posted and been checked and confirmed that it has a link on the website.

After a while of running with a few profiles you will start to have a good list of (generally) non-spammed blogs that are AA.

On a side note v1.4.4 has just been released and it includes a fix for the link checker, also should be the last time you guys need to enter in your login details, as requested by no4h~, amongst other features additions.

Just got this, let's see how this will run for me. Are we able to choose more then one target URL? The website field, is it spinnable? Or can we assign keywords to certain URLs? like http://www.domain.com{keyword1|keyword2} would make it so keyword1 and 2 would only be anchored on domain.com?

Are the keywords searched with quotes around them? I ask because some keywords I target only make sense if they have quotes around them, otherwise I get some irrelevant search results.

Also, if we import an AA list, how does that work? Will NoHandsSeo run thru the list per profile? And once it goes through the list, does it go back to scraping the net for links to post on? If so, if I update the AA list on a monthly basis, that means NoHandsSEO would run thru the new list every month then go through it's normal functions right? Would I need to pause/start when switching lists or does it do everything on the fly?

EDIT: looks like it posts to every page on the target site...anyway to not post to certain pages like the contact or privacy policy page?

EDIT2: Nevermind, I found out, it's under the Advanced Options. I thought the "Block Pages That Contain" meant the scraped URLs.
