screwed up. 301 redirect to new domain

1 month ago i built a site, and starting building direct links using scrapebox and as it was expected got a ban. I really screwed up as a total newbie and i want to try a fresh start. If i buy a new domain and 301 redirect old domain to new, penalty will go off? Also new domain is more researched and it will have keyword on domain name.

Let's assume that i buy the new domain make the redirect etc. Can i sumbit my new domain name to the same website directories that i sumbitted the old one?That will do any good?Also that's the same question for social bookmarking, should i make social bookmarking to the new domain too?

What do you mean you got a ban? Was your site deindexed or did you just lose ranking? If your you google site:yoursite.com does anything come up? If it is not deindexed, this may just be a normal bouncing around in the SERPs which is totally normal for new sites and you may want to reconsider giving up on it.

If it is deindexed, redirecting it won't do much good. People have mixed results about whether or not a penalty passes through a redirection. From my limited experience, the penalty is usually lifted after a redirection. Yes, you can and should do regular link building on the new domain if you choose to redirect.

In conclusion, if you are not deindexed, don't give up so easily. If you are deindexed, you can redirect but it won't make much of a difference.

With ban do you mean you got deindexed? If so, I've always read that penalizations get redirected with 301 redirects as well.

If you want to start fresh, forget about the old domain and get a new one.

The chances that your site was completely deindexed is slim, and if it did I wouldn't be looking at your backlinks rather I'd be looking at what you did with ON SITE.

I've seen a bunch of threads like this one, for it to be either

1. They are still indexed but aren't ranking (normal Google behavior)
2. They are in fact banned and simply have a direct copy of another site or the whole website is an Amazon Store feed or something similar.

First of all thanks for your quick answer and for your help really appreciated . Just got to 40 page on google and still dropping, it not just the "ban" the reason i want to give up. It was a really dump domain name, i will give some more details in order to have the complete picture of my situation. I'm a student in Electrical and Computer Engineering, so some1 asked me to make for him a website, i made some research and i saw that it was so easy to do something like that, then i learned some things about seo and make him top result for 5 keywords he chosed (did not used aggresive link building like in my domain name) . So last month i decided to start a local web design company in athens, i used for domain name just my name with no keywords and no research (really dump) , then started using aggresive link building and got the ban. Now i'm thinking about a new domain name with "web" keyword in domain name and a fresh start. I already have some clients so i will take some good backlinks from them too to my new site. After you read all of this you think i should proceed with the new domain idea? Also i will have to change my company name in taxation office so it is a big decision. I also have contacted a deal company (like the groupon in us) to promote my site so i have to decide promote and proceed with the old domain or with the new domain...

P.S1: I know i rushed to make a company of my own and i'm still an amateur, but i believe that the only way to learn is to do!

P.S2: If you want ask me for more details, perhaps for you people is just a common situation but i'm new in this concept and really frustated.

IMO penalties would not get redirected to new domain but link juice and PR does get redirected to new domain.. If penalties could have been redirected to new domains then all competitors would have used the same trick to sandbox other websites.

Yeah, I can see your point of not wanting your name to be your domain although if you are starting a business having your name as the domain is not such a bad thing. You can rank for keywords without them being in your domain name. It is really up to you and it is a decision about the domain name, not about the SERP ranking. From everything you've said, your SERP ranking is normal for a 1 month old site and nothing to be alarmed about (but you're not alone, everyone freaks out when their first site starts bouncing). Just know that if you build a new site, bouncing around the SERPs will happen with that one too.
