good luck.

Dude why do you want to go out of India ? Stay back .. I am going to Singapore get all the knowledge and come back to India and start my own company ... If there is any place in the world where you can make money its India. There are so many virgin markets waiting to be raped. Just my 2 cents. All the best though . :)

Best of luck!

I'll be watching this thread..

Good luck bro. Closely following as I am planning to do something same.

You may be making money but you still think like a kid.

Running away from people is never a solution. Do you think there are only optimists in Canada. Moreover, if your parents want you to be an engineer ( presuming they want you to study for IIT- JEE ) then with your skills, you will have much much bigger success then what you can have by going to canada..

There are haters everywhere and they are gonna hate...
Keep making money and be happy. The opportunities which are going to open in india, once people are comfortable with ecommerce and other online stuff is just unimaginable.

Flipkart is trying to become the amazon of india and this is just a start..
India is the place you want to be ..

wow a big ask and if you can do it you can share and make us all rich !!

how do you have a bank account at the age of 17 in India and you don't get a Credit card so easily at that age.

What's the catch?

its on my mom's name, but i operate it. she doesn't even remember that account lol

BTW when you are done designing your sites let me know ill give you a free 5k blast to one of your sites.. ;)

Good to see an Indian thinking big....I'm not alone :D

UPDATE:
first website is done, around 15 pages of content.
ranking 25 for the main keyword. competition is
132,000 results in quotes.
Lets see if i can come up no1 in a week.

bought a domain for the second website, design work commencing now.

Subscribed just to see how it turns out.

I know that I would never be able to achieve that in such little time without using PPC, but then again I'm not the best at SEO either. You are probably much better.

Good luck.

the first site was a content gateway site. i am aiming at something around $500-600/month from it.

The second site that am starting now is going to be adsense site, with tons of unique articles ranging from health, home decor to beauty and whatnot... i will congest everything on the same domain.
why?
so that authority is shared mutually among all articles, its gets easier to rank after the site gains authority.

can u give more details ? is it an EMD ? number of exact searches ? u told u r posting different articles from many niches so what do u mean by main keyword here (edit - it was for the second site, pardon)? hows the competition... number of results in quotes dont give an indication about the top 10 competition ..are there any authority sites ? sry for too many questions lol but juz curious :pirate:

its almost and emd with a prefix+keyword

number of exact searches is around 30k.

the competition is doable. around 150ish backlinks for the first plave in yahoo explorer.

the top guy has exact emd.

I've noticed a few people mention that you should avoid Canada, and I strongly disagree with them. I'm assuming the majority of the people saying this live in America, and have lived there their whole life. I live in the USA currently, and I'll tell you, based on what I've heard, moving from India to the USA is difficult (well, moving from anywhere to the USA is difficult). If you were highly educated, and landed a job here, the company may petition for a Visa for you. But from the looks of it, you're still a young guy, and that doesn't seem to be an option.

Canada has a far more lax immigration policy.

My advice? Move to Canada, build your life (okay, I mean, build up your bank), and you can always move to the USA later on.

Don't get me wrong; I live in the USA and LOVE it, but I think your original choice of going to Canada is a good one. I lived in Ontario, and it is a great place. Now, if you're open to other places, I'd recommend Montreal. I've lived in both, and I'd pick Montreal over Ontario. If you plan on going to university, Montreal is the place to be.

PS. You definitely don't need $5k a month to live in Canada. As a few others said, $2-3K a month will be plenty.

Anyways, good luck with this bro. Stick with it; the sky is the limit.

It is a nice goal, apart from the Canada part.

Just returned from trip to Ontario, with a solid understanding that I don't want to live in that hole. :-)

LOL. What part of Ontario were you in? I used to live there and it isn't so bad.

But I understand; nothing is like home (wherever your home is). I've moved around a lot, and everywhere is the same. A place is only as good as you make it ;)
