I am working on keyword 'SEO' what is the best white had strategy to rank on this keyword?

I have been using link wheel strategy..what do you think?

Link wheel is good but if the proper structure of wheel is not appropriate for your site or keyword then it may hamper.
Try to make wheels with appropriate structures.
You can also try article submission,blog posting,social bookmarking etc.
Also start to bookmark and do few backlinks to your article submissions and link wheel's articles.

1) Proper One page seo.

2) Search Engine Optimized article with proper keyword density and no keyword Stuffing.For eg in a 500 word article use the selected Keyword "SEO" atleast 5 to 7 times.Try making a title /heading with the given keyword.

3) Article submission on reputed Article directories.

3)Go for quality .edu and .gov profile link creation.Indexing the Link.

4) Link Wheel is a pretty old method and almost all the link wheel chaining are now being pretty caught by Google hence try out some new customized diagram and test run on your Selected keyword and after completion notice the SERP rise.If it works then good else try adding more boosting feature to your diagram in this way two very important thing will happened first you will hit one very effective chaining structure and next automatically the SERP will rise after the indexing of the chain links.

What is the competition rating for seo? Google says it's a medium, so unless they're lying I don't see why it wouldn't be possible.

It's a big keyword.
Very high competition.
You must do more if you want to ranked in.

You'll need a good amount of direct d0foll0w links from high pr authority sites... probably a nice handful of pr4-7's. You will also be needing a ton of everything else (link wheels, pyramids, and every other trick in the book, like videos etc). Those are NOT cheap though... so just know what you're getting into is going to be an expensive keyword to beat. irate:

Well pretty much agree with this line.. Actually all the wheeling structures are pretty much saturated.Always say trying making some custom diagram.Try using media wikis..........
