Importing items from DHGate?

If I import items from DHGate and get a lot of 10 pieces, what are the chances of customs taking a look inside the box?

Yes sir, I am moving into the perfume category on Ebay. I am going to do a test on the product as it may be a replica and what not, but I want to make sure the chemicals in it aren't going to harm the user. (For some reason I care about bad things in it)

About 50/50 that they will look inside the package. But just because they don't mean they will seize it. They will prolly just ask you to pay some tax.

Since we're talking about 10 bottles of perfume, that'll be a relatively small and light package.

They usually only target really heavy or really large packages, but the small and light packages are usually let through unless they decide to grab one out for a random search.

And if they do grab mine by chance and figure out that it is a replica, what will they do?

they'll seize the item(s), and send you a letter. if that happens, ignore it and act as if you don't know anything and have no idea about the package

you should be fine if you know how to maneuver correctly regarding the legal system

but you probably wont have any illegal problems from making a legal purchase, you just bought the items, you didnt sell them

getting caught selling them is a whole different story...
