How I went from $1.80/mo to $720/mo

Ok guys, I've been on this board for a while and want to give back a bit. I've learned so much in the past few months but have struggled to find something that's longterm / residual. Until about couple months ago.

Well, today my friends is your lucky day. I'm a complete newb so if I can do this you can too. This method is GUARANTEED to make you money on autopilot, so follow along closely.

What we're doing here is setting up a VPS service which is practically guaranteeing you a very nice profit margin with minimal risk.

Step 1:
What we'll be doing is very similar to drug dealing, lol.. only 100% legal and legit.

What I've done is this, purchased a VPS with unmetered bandwidth. There's alot of hosts out there but from what I found this site works 100% fine for me: They even sorta lead me in the right direction when pulling this off:

Get the BlackBox Plan, this gives you UNLIMITED bandwidth, which is exactly what we need. ( Also make sure you get Windows 2008 ) The Business plan was like $400/mo or something but I didn't have enough startup capital to afford that.. lol so I went with the BlackBox plan which has worked perfectly so far..

You'll also need to e-mail/chat with them and they can get you an extra IP's I got 10 of them for $20.

Step 2:
Once you've gotten your VPS all setup you're going to need to Install Hyper-V.

Hyper-V basically lets you turn your VPS into a Datacenter.

I did alot of digging around on the best way to do this, but I found a guide that walked me through it step by step. Here you go:

(This is actually alot easier than I thought it was going to be)

Step 3:

Once you've got Hyper-V installed that hard part is done. Play around with it some and get a feel for it, it's actually VERY easy to get the hang of..

So. We now have out VPS configured with Hyper-V. What's next?

This is the fun part. You're paying $50 a month in server expenses, an extra $20 for 10 IP's.. this covers covers 2GB / Ram and 240 GB HD space.

You then use Hyper-V to sell our your own VPS's. With this plan you'll be able to EASILY sell:

-8 VPS's with 256/ram /30GB HD for around $15-$20 each ($120-$160/mo)
-4 VPS's with 512/ram /60GB HD for around $30-$35 each ($120-$160/mo)

A friend of mine gave me this idea and I actually put it to action. This is the first "residual" money I've made. I've been doing it for several months now. And these people are getting billed MONTHLY via Paypal.

Monthly Expense: $70
Monthly Earnings: $160

Total Profit = $90 / Mo (Every Month)

Now, That's really just the start. The prices I sell my VPS's at are actually really good comparing to the Industry standard pricing so I had no problem selling off my first box's VPS's in a week.

PLUS: after your first 2 boxes they'll give you a discount

I've now rinse/repeated this method 8 times and am up to $720 / mo PROFIT!

I will continue rinsing/repeating this method as long as I can. Once I earn enough to pay to have a website built I'll start running some Adwords and stuff like that.

But, as you can see.. this method has UNLIMITED potential.

I've gotten 22/28 of my customers rebilled for 2 months now.. plenty of people have been installing scrapebox/ paid bots on the VPS's. I tend to disagree with your statement.. if you think about it.. Once you're setup on a VPS you don't wanna go through the hassle of deregistering/porting your software/files/apps over to another VPS. This is VERY longterm compared to many other methods that come and go.

I have thought about doing this with my VPS, I don't have unlimited bandwidth.. My HD is not as big either. But I am pretty sure I can break even.

You can do it with dedicated server for plenty of vps. Kimsufi offered cheap dedicated server 24gb ram

I posted on forums yeah, don't wanna create competition for myself lol but I just googled " web hosting forums." then offered the customers I had gotten free upgrades for referals, etc. Once you get a few customers it's pretty easy to get more ya just gotta get creative

If you say reselling does not make money, you need to pop another pill and press ( | ) the power button on your PC and go read a book.

VPSs might not be your cup of tea, or maybe you have too little cash. Get a free account at Byethost, a VCC with a verified PP for payment, and resell da' bitches.

will still cost you the price of a VPS and IPs though, if you want it to be long term.

God, the performance on your VPS must be atrocious.

So someone got a server. Then installed XenServer or something. On top of that, they created a whole bunch of VPSes, one of which was sold to you. Then you took that VPS, running Windows of all virtualising software. You then ran HyperViz on top of that. Then you installed more Windows VPSes, and you sold them on.

Besides being totally unstable, the performance on your VPSs must be quite awful. Good luck when the whole setup starts wobbling, and you have a bunch of irate customers demanding refunds.

@OP, unfortunately it is because of operations like yours that nobody has faith in small hosting firms.

On a more positive note though, learn some Sys Admin skills, and get your own dedicated machine. It will be more stable, faster, and more profitable than the setup you have now.

Just yesterday, I got a 16Gb, i7 2600 (quad core with Xeon like benchmarks), with XenServer, for just 50 euros (1st mth, 100 euros after), on a 100Mbs pipe, with unlimited traffic.

I think its a good idea actually

but personally I would buy my own dedicated server and set this up that way - so at least then the people buying from you are going to get some performance.

also I don't know how you get $30-$35 for that level of performance - as you seem to be ripping your customers off.

Anyway with all that said - good idea - just perhaps there are better ways to execute this.

Been with them since this morning, OP said they'd been with them for a few months. They seem pretty awesome so far..will post updates but so far I quadroupled my investment. Good stuff. OP deserves some sort of golden star for his awesome share. This should be moved to Jr.VIP before everyone starts doing it and saturates the market.. if that's even possible lol.

I've got 4 VPS's up now and it's running speedtexts/performance tests and they're all balanced. (evenly sharing resources) My 4 customers so far are really happy with the speed.. and so am I.

The "Blackbox" package is quad core too.

I just ran a speedtest on one of my VPS's (that I'm setting up for one of my new customers) with 4 others running and it's clocking 110mb/s Download and 78 mb/s upload. They too have unmetered bandwidth.

only difference is RAM and I can upgrade my ram anytime. 1/4th the cost of what you're paying.. but then again you're probably working on a much larger scale as I am.

I was going to get 16 GB ram but I'm taking it slow and scaling so I can keep my profit margin stable and assume less risk. Once I get enough residuals to be able to afford a BizBox plan I'll deffo be going the dedi route like you suggested.
