It's not unreasonable that the bank site isn't making you anything. Why would it? It's a terrible site (by which I mean that 1. it doesn't look like a site worth staying on and 2. it doesn't provide anything that the official site doesn't provide more effectively).
If you have the number 2 spot, it'll be very visible to anybody who is using Google to get to their bank site... so make it into something that people are more likely to click on. I don't know what that would be... maybe some bad press if you can dig any up, or something like '3 secrets to get more money back from capitol savings' or some-such.

First of all, how long since you in the #2 spot?
and second, Your site is #2 in first page but you're actually not really on #2 position, because the #1 spot has 12 site links result.
and third the keyword only have 1900 exact match, i think the #1 site took all the traffic (it's the authority site with 12 site links)
The advertiser competition also very low on that keyword, i think it's not a good keyword at all, but hey, this just my opinion which i'm still a noob.

Ive had a similar problem. My problem was: I was #1 for a search term that was getting like 1400 exact searches a month, global. I got no hits though. Turns out, LOCAL exact searches was like 60 a month...and i was #1 in the US. It was being searches on other countries like south african google, where i was no where to be found. I now base my KW decisions on LOCAL exact searches per month.
I would definitely change the ad, I keep getting the some ones over and over, they are not at all relevant to your site. 5400 is broad, exact is 1900. You show up as #3 for me, you can make #2 but the site would not be worth pushing for #1. There is also no competition from advertisers so you are not likely to get many relevant ads.
Sorry sorry was bein a bit dumb. Local us exact searches for the sites r about 1500 - 1900. I know this as i often check. I forgot to tick the exact search box as i was starting this thread. So yeah my apologies for that error. Each site is approx 1900 exact local searches

Have you considered bombing the capfed site with a lot of spammy backlinks to porn blogs?

OP you should wait for some time, there is no magic pill or magic button in IM. I know what you are feeling right now because I am also in same situation.
This guy is an idiot. This kind of laziness will never get you anywhere long term.
