Let's be fair now, the original post said he set up a server and was told he needed to edit .htaccess ... He got instruction to do just that. Any mention of Wordpress would have brought different instructions ;-)
Anyway, done now and he did say that there would be other platforms being used as well so he's gonna need to know how to do it manually anyway
Not like it is a big deal but in general when troubleshooting it is always best to start at the beginning with all details instead of starting in the middle. Only took a second to ask if it was wordpress which on this board odds are it was going to be. I didn't see any mention of other platforms.
I could be wrong but by the name I would guess that he is actually a she.
