Just a normal everyday and I look at Matt Cutt's twitter feed and I see this:

Code:
Scrapers getting you down? Tell us about blog scrapers you see: http://goo.gl/S2hIh We need datapoints for testing.

If you thought that Panda made your site its bitch wait until this next update rolls around.

I wonder whats going to happen when the algorithm is applied to the millions of auto blogs out there, plus the dynamics of spinning/editing.. For some reason I just don't think they stand a chance.. Unless they implement some turn-it-in style plagiarism detection but that would start internet Armageddon.. My autoblogs haven't actually been affected by the recent updates I guess because I diversify the content and do cheap manual edits?

I feel they are likely going to approach it in a spinning type fashion by identifying word rotations

If there was only a way all us beleaguered IM'ers could gang up on the mighty G...

It's going to take many years before those autoblogs go away. There are different strategies of making money with autoblogs

I am curious exactly what data points they are gathering. And with the ability to spin words, and programs like TBS, how are they going to come up with word rotations?

Also did you go to the link in Matt Cutt's tweet?

They give you a submission form to turn in suspected scrapers.

Why don't we spam the crap out of it??? :D

Let 'em dream at G. Algorithms have become smarter but still, there's a massive limit on what they can do and I'm not willing to delve into this atm. And the engineers at mountain view know this VERY well. Cuts should cut the BS (get the pun? Ok sorry I'm on vacation lol)

With the right strategy scraping content and reposting it after applying the appropriate measures works like a charm. It works great today and it will in 10 years from now, it's not just as simple as copy-paste or copy-translate-paste. Scramble paragraphs, # words per paragraph, analyze how LSI are created and parsed by G. Then give a read to their n-gram specs so you'll -hopefully- see how to reverse engineer it. Peace. ;)

There has always been talk of destroying a competitor and now they basically handed us the weapon.

This is going to get nasty quick and I am sure that in the end everyone is going to suffer. The thing about data is that if you look at it enough and from different angles you are sure to find some sort of pattern.

Good news actually. Less competitors -> better SERP's. Personally I really love Panda.

This is funny, at the moment I use only one platform and similar template but I can change the templates and platform faster that they can change the algorithm. With the content is a small problem but there are different methods already prepared in case the game becomes more difficult

If tomorrow they will say:

We are working on uber duper script cracking down artifical SEO - submit sites here:

Will you go and shit in your pants?

First of all, they want autoblogs, that scrape other blogs (most of autoblogs scrape article directories - so no danger here).
Secondly - they just playing with you - last thing you should do is listen to Matt Cutts - he is liar and there is loadz of proof around net.
All he says is a lies - if he will say backlinks are good - stop doing backlinks. If he says you should stop using Scrapebox - start using Scrapebox.

I think it is quite possiple that sooner or later some of us develop algorithms to merge different articles and kind of understand and rewrite articles. If that will ever happen (and I am sure it is just a matter of time) how could google tell any longer if content is duplicate?

When you see the following two lines, they have about the same information in them, but there is not way to tell if they are handwritten or not, is there?

Yesterday I went out to buy some meat. On my way I came across three cats.
When I walked down the road to visit the butcher, I saw two cats.
I think at least with larger articles, things like this will become possible in future, with really good results on pattern recognition for images and voices, it does not sound to unlikely that can be applied to text.

spinners are already advanced quite a bit past simply swapping out the first result from a thesaurus for every other word.

just as plumbum416 said, really all fully "unique" content is just spun from things the author read/discussed in the past on the subject.

it is my belief that the first AI will come from a spinner module that beats the Turing Test to death.

Don't get me wrong. There is no pants shitting going on here. I like to stay informed as to what GDog is up to just to so that I can keep out of reach. However my concern comes from the ability of people to use this tool for evil doings.

With enough time to waste in one's hands this suggested me we should make an autoblog with all the BS Matt Sucks writes... And rank it higher than his with a big, fat linkpush :D

That sir is exactly what G wants. They want an army of stool pigeons ratting out the rest of their competition. Once this happens the SERPS will be decimated. Remember that G is all about "user experience".

So.... once that shit storm happens Matt Cunts will get called on the carpet about it and things will go back to normal.

In the mean time just play the game......
