Hi fellow BHWer , I would like to ask about the " Competition " box in Google Keyword Tool . I've googled it and the main feature of that competition tab is to show whether advertiser's are bidding for that particular keyword. Recently i've purchased one domain and i was planning to buy a service so that they can create a site for me regarding that keyword. I wasnt aware about this advertisers bidding thing at that time. I would like to ask you guys , have anyone have experience regarding this? That keyword of mine has low competition , high CPC but unfortunately , the COMPETITION ( this does not mean the competition of the keyword !) tab in google is " NO COMPETITION " .
Im kinda regretting now and i would love to learn more ! So its nice if someone can enlighten me , im sure alot of members would benefit from this.

i too had the same problem when i first got into keyword research

the green bar is advertiser competion not SEO competion
so if its no competion you wont have much relevant ads on your site
to find seo competion

type this into google
inurl:'your keyword' (IF THIS IS UNDER 30,000 RESULTS I WOULD TAKE IT)
intitle:'your keyword' (IF THIS IS UNDER 15,000 RESULTS I WOULD TKE IT)

and try to get an Exact match domain

hope this helped :)

Thanks for the reply. I actually told the service provider regarding the keyword. I said , For micro niche sites , does it at least have to be a product so that there are relevant ads , where people are clicking ads because they are looking for something? How about the advertiser competition which google keyword tool shows?

They replied : As long as you have decent amount of searches , and a decent CPC , you will earn money .

I doubt that , but im still not sure !

I already bought the domain. Now that i realize this , should i
1) ask them to go on and create the site with that keyword
2) find a new keyword and ask them to create the site with the new keyword , this means i will lose the money i bought for the previous domain

Replies are appreciated !

did they give you a keyword low, medium or high adwords competion (green bar)?

They gave me keyword to pick , and then i asked around here in BHW , some members recommended Traffic Travis to check competition.

So i analyzed it with Traffic Travis , and then i posted the results in BHW. some gave some opinions and finally i only decided those keyword when "cyberzilla" actually did a review for me and recommended me some keywords.

They gave me 12 to choose from. I bought 6 sites. Cyberzilla chose 6 for me. But only 4 had .com/.org/.net left. So i had 2 keyword i had to choose. I asked them for more keywords and they gave me some. I posted Traffic Travis's results again and some members told me to check the advertising competition 1st. Which i did ! I actually checked for the domains that i already purchased too! Unfortunately , i hope i knew that early because the domains that i bought have.
1)No Competition
2)Low
3)Low
4)Medium

I am really frustrated now because i was focusing on whether i can reach 1st page which ease for those keywords and i wasnt aware of the Ads competition.

I had $330 to invest.
$200 for 6 sites
bought 4 domains already = $40
and now these keywords are not decent.
I wanted to leave some $$ for some fiver gigs to push my sites after a few weeks but i dont think i have much money left.

Very lost.

Someone help me out?
