That we are agreed on - but tbh I didnt think you were making that clear. You kept saying 'manual commenting is not white hat'. Manual commenting is white hat when used right - with worthwhile related comments on suitable posts.
The comment spam you are mentioning there is not whitehat, we are certainly agreed on that. But if people arent aware that writing any old rubbish on something not at all related and then throwing in a spammy link with anchor text is blackhat then they need to go back an do some SEO training!
Sorry, i think i misunderstood you. But a lot of people, especially people who have sold 2k per month, 3k per month sites on flippa are using blog comment spam links. There have been a ton of sites like that sold on flippa the past one year. Those people must understand that there is huge risk involved. I do not see any problems with people commenting in related blogs.
