I am wondering if it is likely that i have been blacklisted from manual blog commenting (through akismet etc.). seems most of the time i am not seeing any "comment successful" or "awaiting moderation" type message.

i have been manually writing solid comments for the highest PR scraped posts i find, but you know how some webmasters can be dicks...

am i blocked? how can i test? any steps to prevent this?

normally if you do it manually, your success rate would be less than 10% accepted. its a numbers game that is why we blast to test lists in the millions.

There would be a big chance you will be blocked specially that you use 1 IP address to comment countless times and 1 URL all the time too

Probably, yes. Try to use different IP's and proxy's.

I have the same question. When I send a comment it does not appear approve or waiting.

Well yeah you have been blocked by akismet mate !
The only thing left is to contact the blog admin and tell them to remove your blog from the spam folder. This is what i did , and it works :)
And i guess this is the only option you have..

good luck

comment on some of your other blog and test. i did the same and it went to spam. i requested at akismet to unban me :P As usual they said no. Comment at friends or other blackhatters blogs and ask them to approve or something. When it reports false postive at akismet, perhaps it gets removed in some time. i am not really sure. better methods are using auto approve lists, spamming other domains and then redirecting them to the money site,, etc,

thanks for the input guys, sorta what i had figured unfortunatly...

what exactly gets blacklisted through akismet? only specific urls, or the whole top level domain? seems they couldnt ban all blogger blogs for example...
or is it just ip?

using proxies? obviously should help, but does one ip banned for all backlinks. that is to say, would public proxies be any good as they are most likely blacklisted from scrapebox spamming anyways...

i have heard some folks mention url shorteners like bitly/gogl etc, thoughts?

i was rotating public proxies with the internal scrapebox browser. random email. some deeplinks, some top domain links, some shortened. all high quality and relavent to the post and my site's niche...

so are yous saying that manual linking is basically a huge waste of time then?

Use a personal about page to link to, it is a lot more personal and more friendly to the blog. Later on, 301 redirect the page to wherever you want backlinks to

the issue im talking about is not getting the comments approved by a mod.
it seems like i cant even post anything.

sometimes itll go to a blank page etc and its clear something is kicking you into the spam bucket right away. most of the other times though it will re-direct beck to the post page and the url changes to blog.com/post?comment=54 or something similar, so thats at least promising. only very rarely do i actually get any message like "your comment is awaiting moderation."

so first question is, does that mean my comments are not even going though. and second question is, if something is blocking me how to deal with it.

I was having the same problem, I was using keywords in the name section and putting my url in the website section, I found this way akismet almost always flags your post as spam.

So I just started using a real name and different email addresses to post, read the actual post, then commented something related to it with a link within. Seems this works as I almost always get the "awaiting moderation" message now.

I think they can use different things to block you. I just found out a deep page on my is banned, but not my home page. My email address and IP still seems fine.

Yuo can check here
Code:

and of course dropping a comment on your own site.

#.

yeah its dropping straight into the spam folder in wordpress, so the moderator doesn't even get notififed, and thats why the "your comment is awaiting moderation." message doesn't come up.

What milian said is correct, is there a cure for this? Is it getting proxies?

it depends how you are banned. As i mentioned above, it can be the url that is banned, not your IP. If its that case, a proxy wont change anything.

Yeah, you've been blocked, you could change ip (proxies), email, but if your url is blocked and probably is, that's the pain in the ass.

so whats the best way to deal with this?

fresh proxies for ip ban?

would shortening the link bypass the filters? does that still count the same in gogles eyes?

Mate, I used to have the same problem, but you can overcome by using fresh proxies. They can help you somehow. You can get 60%-70% approved by using fresh proxies. Good luck.
