Fuck Hostgator!

So my main money maker site is down...I am trying to speak with the hostgator support and they were trying to say that my website is loading fine to them at first... I tried loading the site with two different PC`s - still no connection. Now they started to talk that they are "checking a few things"...fuck I am so pissed right now.

Did you change your nameservers by any chance? That could be one reason why your site goes down for a short while.

I've had excellent service from Hostgator and completely love it!

dont worry, these downtimes usually are no longer then a few hours. Your serps wont decrase that fast

If its down more then 2 days you may start to worry

Please don't shoot the messenger but I personally had three HostGator sites go down and I was pissed. I did like you and tried other computers, called HostGator raising cane and they said....they look fine to me....I said NO they are not and I'm loosing $1,000 or more today and I got the same response as yours, basically we have our people looking into it.

This is the part referring to "don't shoot the messenger" you probably already did this but disconnect your connection to the internet completely, it doesn't matter what you are using.

This has happened to me twice in about 18 months and I cannot explain it, but when I reconnected, they were all up.

Even though my internet was working fine, something had them blocked and to this day I still don't know what.

Sometimes Chrome and Firefox do not freshly reload, even if you hold shift or ctrl or whatever. Very frustrating.

I had probs with Hostgator last year and was told that they were unable to recreate the difficulties I was having. So, I uploaded a video which demonstrated the problems live as a screen capture.

Unfortunately, nothing improved and I switched hosting companies at renewal date.

Shame, as I really liked Hostgator but lost business is lost money.

have dealt with HG numerous times in the past. Zero problems from them other than affiliate payout. They are a great company with great support. Sorry you are having trouble. I would check is it down for only me.

yeah hostgator having all kinds of problems, is this on a shared plan. Because I purchased my shared plan back in what 06 and im the only one on the node, When I look up the ip address to see who else is on it with me only my site comes up and I purchased another hosting for a seperate project a small html file and it kept getting the server took to long to respond check, i checked itsdownforjustyou numerous times and it was down for everyone, so I checked how many sites are on their and their was at least 60 sites on the same node. I contacted them about it and they said everything is fine and must be on my end. I didnt really care cause i just used the new host for testing and such

Three operators said that they are checking and fixing everything... the fourth went like this:

(06:29:39 PM) Adam Cu: I am showing this server is running at optimum levels and has an uptime of 59 days. It looks like the content that is being loaded from external sources is causing the slowdown.
(06:29:57 PM) Adam Cu: I see it loads from facebook, and it loads from youtube. Either of these embeds could cause this slow down.
(06:30:17 PM) Adam Cu: I would advise removing any embedded content and test the speeds again to ensure that is the cause of the issue.


What a joke - there is not embed content from yt and only a tiny button from facebook.... this is the last day I am using this BS crapgator.

for my main money sites, i always keep a backup on another hosting so if it goes down, just switch the A records at the registrar.

They bullshit with 99% up time guarantees. its all crap.
