Why is firefox coming out with new verisons every week?

It's because firefox is opensource and the developers aren't in cognito
with eachother. I've spoken before about firefox plugins not being compatible
with one another. For speed opera, Chrome is catching up with firefox on plugins.

Firefox doesn't want to stay behind. It doesn't look good when chrome is already on version 15 and firefox on 3.6 so they had to do something lol

I think it's a stupid reason and shows their insecurity if this is true.

I guess they have to stay competitive but every week is too much. I have lost my faith in them since post 3.6 (4 onwards).

Gonna have to rollback methinks.

Another thing i hate about firefox, My video always lags on youtube when facebook is open
I have no idea what is causing it and i've disabled all my addons. When it happen the ram usage is over 600 so maybe that's it..

Because of the cookies hacking using the internet browser.. Firefox want to stay updated their security function to make their users comfortable with them.. If you heard the news last 2 months from fbi some hater hackers hacks private information like bank accounts information such as username and password and more using internet browser ( IE is the example of the browser who is easily to hack ) that is why firefox want to prevent from these hackers. The other reason, they want to level up with chrome.. Chrome is a like a kick ass right now and their rating still going up and firefox afraid of this..

Maybe it's just me buy FF seems to freeze/crash a lot. Never had an issue like this in Chrome so maybe they are still developing stability measures.

Personally, I dislike this new release schedule. Constantly breaking plugins is never a good thing in my opinion.

Unless they've changed it, it even sends characters you have deleted from your address bar to Google.

I agree with all of the comments from BHW members. They are starting to lose both share and momentum to Chrome. So to get attention we now get all of these new releases which obviously could be combined into a single release.

It took them like a year to come with version 4 but now all of a sudden they have jumped up to 6 in what seems a matter of weeks.

It pissed me off cos all my plugins were obsolete and I had autoupdate on, which I've now switched off to prevent that crap from happening again.

So what is the deal?

I guess security holes or something- still I don't see why they don't call it 4.1/2 etc. like they did before?
