I kinda of stupidly installed the new Firefox release but I now I'm wondering what impact this new release is going to have on my plugins and overall stability. The previous Firefox release had a nasty habit of shutting down on its own and I'm wondering if this has been addressed?

it is stable for me but damn most of my plugins wont work anymore (outdated for FF6) and that sucks BIG TIME

It has been stable for me thus far (just downloaded 2 days ago). However, I had an SEO toolbar that is not functioning at this point. Firefox says that it's on the toolbar's end and once a functioning version is released Firefox will automatically update. We shall see.

Just a heads up, they plan on releasing Firefox 7 and Firefox 8 by November. I'm not kidding.

i usually wait a month for FF total version upgrades, to let the plugin guys catch up.

I was using FF 6 and hated it so I went to FF 7 Beta and I like it a lot more. None of the plugins work for it though.

Since many of my firefox plugin is not working in the FF version 6 , so i dont feel like upgrading it. When majority of my plugins would work on FF new version, will upgrade it to the new version. Hope that happens soon :D

recently my firefox keeps getting crashed, now it's been updated to 6 but again it crashed today. I'm only using SEO Quake plugin, and rest of the plugins were disabled due to incompatibility. Due to the instability i'm using Orbit temporarily.

I was about to install the upgrade Firefox 6.0 when it warned me that I would not be able to use my Avast antivirus software with the upgrade, so I did not upgrade because that would have left me unprotected.

My avast plugin also not working now but i let it upgrade as my previous version was crashing way too much.

Every time I upgrade FireFox I ask myself why. It seems like just as I get all the plugins working again another update is available.

I have had it crash a few times and sometimes it seems to lag. I switch to a different browser and no lag so I know it's FireFox.

The browser is awesome since it works with some many different plugins, maybe they could just keep the upgrade limited to once a year except for security issues.

It's stable.

For all your add on's that won't work, install the nightly tool tester add on. This will allow you to force your old add ons to work just by clicking the force button. :)

Working great for me.

However, it is still not as fast as Chrome (in my opinion)

Ugh, more release coming of Firefox? All, I ask is they get this release stable with the plugins, that's what I use Firefox for. One encouraging sign is that 6.0 has not crashed yet but I bet more than half the plugins are still not running!

I was about to update mine earlier until i read that my kaspersky url advisor and anti banner will not work with it so i think I'll just wait until they're fixed.
