Certain sub-forums will disappear occasionally once the activity discussed there reaches a kind of critical mass. (I can think of one other such forum topic.) Some of these Black Hat methods and practices, while great fun, can be taken a bit too far by some people. In other words, when discussions of "How to make money from ________" become "How to rip off and scam people using _______", the grey area that separates "Black Hat" from "Illegal As Hell" has been breached and for the good of the rest of the forum such discussions must be halted immediately.
CL in particular has turned into a free-for-all lately, and not just by IMers. (Remember the controversy about the 'adult services' section?) I'm a bit surprised the discussion forum lasted this long.

I'd be willing to bet there's a LOT of VERY successful prople who don't know you guys secret language or the secret handshake.
Don't assume for one second that makes you any smarter or successful than anyone else.
However it's safe to assume it does make you Internet jerks.

There is no grey area between Black Hat and Illegal. BH is BH, it's illegal in almost every instance. People like to think they're BH because they feel edgy, when in reality they're far from BH, and barely even GH. They feel cooler saying they're a BH than a GH or WH.

Yes there is a certain kool factor, but in order to know how much you can bend the rules, you need to know what the breaking point is.
So I think a plain white hat marketer can benefit from learning black hat techniques.
In some ways, craigslist wins this round. People that soaked up the free info for the past years will be far ahead of the current class of what is ghosting. Survival of the fittest.

I am going to miss the forum. I really missed reading all the stupid shit people said that wasn't true. LOL.
It was hard for newbies to learn CL before and now it will be impossible. I hope this allows the market to demand more money to professional posters. When it hits $5 a live ad I'll jump on that action. lol
Maybe people will start using CLAD forum now... that is a paid forum and never used.
