Manual backlinking

I use Ryan Diess Cherry Picker software. Its FREE at least when I got it. It awesome.

Just checked this out and it seems pretty cool. Going to pop it in a vm now.

My blog JungleLuv; Every post I Tweet, Facebook, Digg, Myspace, Stumbleupon, Delicious, and Ping.fm it. First 30 days brought 4600 UV. I use Pingler, SocialAdr.

Thanks, I just went to pingler and bookmarked it and signed up with SocialAdr so I'll be checking them out as well. Is this site basically where you can add bookmarks and have others check it out? I've added a bookmark but haven't done anything beyond that and authorized Twitter.

You just trained few newbies how to spy and steal your backlinks, thanks :)

Haha...the technique I provided can't even scrape 1/4 of the links to some of my sites. Scrape away newbs... Scrape away :D

altjx, I was thinking and maybe we could be like partners, I mean, for like 1 hour a day we could go on skype and do our seo, ask questions and tell what we learned daily. What do you think?
I have also started seo recently, have my blog running atm, just like you I can't afford software right now so I'm also going for the manual way. What do you say mate?

Just a quick tip:

Write some random article and post them on articlre directory.

I personnaly use only ezine. I saw good improvement with that.

After that, you pay someone on fiverr the blast the shit out your ezine articles.

Sounds good to me dude. IM me on skype, AIM, or yahoo. Check my profile for my usernames.

I agree. I've submitted 2 articles to GoArticles and they haven't received many views. After a week and ezinearticles approved my articles, I've gotten like 20 views on the first day or so.

Manual Backlinking is painfully boring but you can focus on directories, articles, blogs, and forums to start, and just find different footprints you can use with Google.

Also I like the idea of the partner thing above that is a good way to learn to have someone to bounce all your questions off of.

Yeah Go Articles sucks man. I guess you can use em for a backlink, but I don't think it's worth much. Ezine is king man. If you write a good article, that's the place you want to publish it. Make sure you only put one link in the resource box to get the max linkjuice. I just recently checked the PR on my ezines, and many of them are pr 3 and 2, and I only submitted those a few weeks ago.

Nice, haha. Glad I got some additional opinions on GoArticles. I've seen someone recommend it but it's kind of doing nothing for me.

Ok pal, ive been doing manually ever since i started

Go find some spammed website(or run into some) with 1000 comments with backlinks in them, then pick one of those websites or more from the comments and run it throught some backlink checker. Then you will see more than 500 backlinks with PR being written on the side for you to backlink :)

Is it worth putting my link in the signature if the forum doesn't make the link clickable? Just shows the entire address as regular text. Have to highlight it to go to it.

YES, SocialAdr has about 21 social networks they work through.
You spintex your bookmark so each time it looks original. Then other members view it. Your viewing others bookmarks. Each time its view it is bookmarked to a social network like stumbleupon, conterra, delicious, etc.

So what exactly did I need to do in additional to just "adding" my bookmark? I didn't see anything as if I could submit it. It does give me the option to pause it though.

I've just started with SEO and although I do have SB, I've not used it yet and am just doing manual linking!

Found this thread helpful, so thank you! I've also been using a plugin for Chrome called SeoQuake which shows you the PR of sites when you search in Google which I found helpful and I'm sure you will too!

Good luck :)

Omgomgomg I didn't know there was a good plugin for Chrome. I looked a few days ago but I based the quality of the extension off the # of users that had downloaded it and rated it.

Quick question though, lol. Now I'm debating a bit. SEO Quake, SEO for Chrome, SEO Site Tools.

Which one you think is best? Have you tried the others and just didn't like them? Seems like each one of the tools have some inaccurate information so it's hard to choose. Feels like so much eye candy though, lol.

To be honest I'm just as new to this as you are! I'm just having a play around with different things at the moment... I did find SEO Quake slowed down my Chrome whilst it was enabled, but that's understandable given that it's actively finding out lots of extra information about all your search results/open websites....

I'm also now having a go on SB to see how that works!

Ah, that makes more sense. I read about that too.

For anyone else, I have a quick question. Using SEO for Chrome, it shows that I have 0 backlinks from google. Even if I go to google and type "link:<mydomainname.com>" i get 0 results. It shows I have 19 backlinks from Yahoo though.

How do I get backlinks from google? This is pretty weird.

Don't bother looking at your links via Google. Google doesn't display really any of your backlinks via manual checks as you noticed. This is just the way Google is.

Look at Yahoo Site Explorer or tools like SEO Spyglass/MajesticSEO for the best up to date link information.

i wouldn't worry about it googles link: search doesnt work to well...it may also take a while for your links to show up
