Keyword Density Question....

Is the formula for checking keyword density:

Number of times keyword occurs / the number of words in the content = Keyword Density?

Yes. So if you were going for 2%, and you had 500 words of content, then you would have that keyword in the content 10 times.

i don't really count it, i prefer it will be readable and not just keyword stuffing. when you are (or the writer) write good article, the keyword is there enought times, no need to make special effort.

It really depends on what the keyword is. If it is something that flows with the article then all is good, but obviously if it is a long-tail keyword like "red gargantuan balloons" then obviously it will interfere with the natural flow of the article.

That's the basic gist of it. Keep keyword proximity in mind too (keep the majority of your keywords closer to the top of the article and then naturally fade them out towards the end. Careful not to keyword stuff though!
