If I am you, I go for the one larger site with 15 articles and 150 KWs, to me that is the only way to go.

We will install SEO smart links which interlinks the pages; the backlinks we generate will all go to the article page itself as opposed to the main page which I have found to be much more beneficial and natural looking.

I'll slap one together this weekend and have it up inside of 48 hours on one of my domains that is sitting collecting dust.

It won't be set up with KWs etc, it will just be an example of what I do for my sites when I build them personally and what you can expect to see after we complete the site.
