Altus Host Warning

Attention black hatters, Altus host are useless.

I needed Offshore hosting so I just ordered a VPS with 1000GB bandwidth. The 3rd day in some c*nt hacked it and used 900GB of my bandwidth in a few hours - no idea how.

So now I have nearly used up all my allocation and am on 99% so my server will go down at any time. I am running a campaign at the moment so I cannot afford for this to happen.

So I get on to customer service and one of their monkeys tells me (after about 1000 messages) that they can sell me more bandwidth. Well I'm thinking they should offer it free but I don't really give a shit I just want my sites up again. Anyway 2 days and about a million 'critical level' messages they still haven't told me how or if I can actually buy more bandwidth or what I can do. I just get seemingly automated messages that 'we will update you later' ... FFS I just want to spend more money with them...

I am looking into new hosting now but that would mean downtime and moving the sites which is a pain in the arse.

So be warned. Altus hosts customer service is complete bullshit and if you do get a problem you will develop an ulcer trying to get them to fix it.

I have no idea why you want to use them for a campaign.... use liquid web.. Thats what i use for all my landing pages n stuff like that!

Order now they respond within a maximum of 15minutes.. thats under the SLA

Offshore hosts are pretty crap. The best of them all is leaseweb .. But they are nothing compared to service quality of liquidweb..

But they are the best offshore hosts as far as i know.
