I've been an avid fan of Diablo series ever since the first game came out. The cold and dark atmosphere of Diablo, the epicness and chilly feeling of Diablo 2. Now, a new game arises.

This game has been in development for quite many years and has gone trough a lot. The game has been trashed twice. By that I mean they have had a working project and restarted it since they didn't find it appealing for whatever reason. The game is coming to completion. There aren't any dates set, but lead developer said they try to release the game by the end of 2011, without damaging the game quality. If you care at all, youtube has tons of game footage.

Just in 1st August, they revealed some info about the upcoming game that created a lot of controversy.

1)No singelplayer - the game will solely be online oriented and you can't play without having internet connection.
2) Mods are prohibited
3) There will exist a real money auction house. You can buy and sell items for real money. There will also be a regualr auction house.

What do you guys think about D3? I know I'm super pumped.

I'm not liking some of the recent news that has come out about Diablo 3. The fact that they are not going to allow single player just kills it for me. I'm sorely disappointed that a company with record breaking profits are using this as a DRM method when Diablo 2 CD key system worked perfectly fine.

Honestly, I'm more excited about the development of Grim Dawn. Built on a modified engine that Titan Quest used, and has retained some of the staff from Iron Lore. I always found Titan Quest to be far superior to Diablo with a higher quality story. You can even buy in to the Alpha at a lower price to help support the developers and receive the full game at launch.

I don't mind it so much not being a single player game, D2 was all about the online experience for me.

I've been waiting for this to be released, and will love it to be out this year. Time to start saving some cash for time off

Why? The goods on the AH are supplied by players (or farmers). What difference is it to you if some dude spent 2 hours grinding IRL or 6 hours grinding in game to buy the stuff they want off the AH.

I can't wait for D3. I hope I make it in to the beta. Diablo2 has gotta be in my top 5 games ever.

most beauty game ever made , turns into '' other '' lineage 2 damn it ! actually I played years ago diablo 1 was my first game play at home ... later I found mir2 if anyone remember about it lol ... never I try other games ... been too busy

The no singleplayer nor the real money AH won't bother me. I was in the PvP part of the game for the entire game so it doesn't affect me at all. I agree that they suck tho.

The bigger upset for me was that in hc(hardcore mode, character has 1 life, no respawn etc) there won't be a pvp arena where one could lose its character. Total bummer :/ The thrill of fighting 1v1 where the loser would lose all his gear and character to the winner.

I remember when played diablo 1 at lan parties and gaming was not that serious.. it was all about having fun.. Oh man i miss those times

Going past caves to hell stage on hardest difficulty... someone is brave and runs into pack of enemies "oh crap i died! *spawn to town* Hey guys lets go get my gear back" Someone shouts at background "hell no i'm not going back there those monsters are CRAZY!!" haha... Always took time to get gear back someone distracts monsters and then guy who died runs to get his gears without dying (too much).

Diablo 2 was not as entertaining but we did play it for some years on lan parties, we NEVER played online cause we had burned copy of the game and keygen, our best character was maybe 78lvl? It is because we only played LAN and single player, we did not have those LVL orgies like people at battle.net where people get 5022035% more experience for killing a single monster, that fact destroyed D2 for us cause it all looked pointless after hearing that "lol guess what, i woke up early this morning and trained my noob paladin from 24 to 99 with some HC gamers" from distant friend.

Hopefully D3 wont be a downer, but i think it is going to be in some degree.
Sadly we have not have lan parties since maybe 5 years
