Nice thread OP, and good advice on risk reward percentages when trading. (i.e. never risk more than 2% of your account on a trade)
Anyone wanting to learn forex trading, a good free place to learn online, is at a site called babypips as mentioned. Studying and learning 'Price Action' and candlestick patterns, will give you the knowledge and the edge. But forex is no get rich quick thing. You will have to put in the time to learn and understand it. Get a demo account, try out some free strategies you can find over at Forex factory and elsewhere, and clock up a few months of screen time watching and reading charts. Don't trade real money until you are consistently profiting for a few months on a free demo account with virtual money. The possibilities are huge. Sound too good to be true? Well, there's no robot that'll do the work for you. You will need to study hard and long for treasure. Try it out as a part time hobby thing and see how you go. Just do not expect to make money straight away, or get rich quick, because you will lose. If you put in the time, like many things, you'll eventually reap the benefits.
Best wishes all.
