Is it a must to have a website.I am blog posting with scrapebox.Well that is what I think it is doing any ways.I am trying to get people to sign up for a dating website and get a free sample of snacks. any input would be nice.

no you can just post your affiliate link directly to the product. no site necessary.

i forgot to add that if you go that route you're not going to get any sales or SEO benefit.

people make sites for the SEO so they can get organic visitors.

think about it though, if you're spamming millions of untargeted blogs, how do you expect to get sales out of that?

I have been using google URL shortener and my adds or post look something like this
Get a FREEsample
.... Snacks xxlinkxxx
Who doesn't like free!
Lets face it with the economy the way it is every bit helps.

and that made me 29 dollars in a week lol but that was doing it by hand so far with scrapebox it has done nothing for me other then taking up hours of my time so I must be doing something wrong

It is nothing like you must have. But if you have it would be good. And it would help you to popular your website.

Well when doing it by hand you were probably targeting your niche better and possibly even commenting on relevant posts. With scrapebox you're pretty much using a shotgun approach and you're comments probably aren't landing on anything nearly as relevant.

The main use of tools like scrapebox is to get the backlinks out there for the SE crawlers to find. For that to be effective then you really do need a website for those backlinks to be pointing too. Something that can get indexed in the serps that belongs to you.

Now that doesn't necessarily mean you absolutely need to have a self-hosted website. You could have a page on one of the article directories that presells the offer your promoting and then make your backlinks to that. Or a Facebook fan page, youtube video, yahoo answers Q&A page, blogger page, or any of a multitude of other free account type pages.

The main thing is to have some page you create somewhere that entices visitors to click a link to your offer and then do your backlinks to that page instead of the offer. That way you have a single page that can rise in the serps and eventually bring you traffic from the search engines.

While you're doing that you can still do the manual posting that you know is actually getting some direct traffic to the offer. The relevant blog commenting that you've already seen some results from. Also things like twitter if targeted correctly can get good results by just posting a link directly to the offer. But for the long run you really want to get that search engine traffic because if that's targeted correctly then you can see your sales explode.

That probably isn't the best explanation, but hopefully it's good enough for you to understand it.
