Anyone can help me out with Craigslist plz?

Well I tried making an add on Craigslist, got an email
telling me it should appear in about 15 mins bla bla.

Well it's been a couple of hours now..and when I
tried searching for it in the category I posted in,
it just wasn't there.

Nyone had this experience before? nything in particular
you did to get your ad shown?

This happens quite often. The community may have reported your ad as being spam or unwanted in some way.

you can check ur ad via the email they sent u when activating it.. there will be link to the ad itself.. if u click it u will find out if it got flagged or not

When I log in to my craigslist account the Ad Status is active.
This always happens to me, the Ad is listed as active but when
I search for it it doesn't show up.

like i said. check ur emails as u get sent email after each ad right? u then need to click link in the email to activate and publish the ad.. once u do this. ur taken to a page to edit.. publish and so on. there will also be a direct link to your ad.. click it and see what it says.. if it shows ur ad and nothing elsse. then its taking a while.. but u may have been flagged. always check ur ads via the email links if u cant see them.

a few things could have happened.

1) a user could have flagged your post (but this probably did not happen in your case)
2) a craiglist mod/editor could have flagged your post (possibly what happened)
3) it got "ghosted" by craigslist automatically because of some reasons like spammy sounding text, too many posting from an ip address in a certain time frame, or posting from an account with many flagged posts (make a new account), or if you are going through a proxy like TOR (which is known to not work with craiglist most of the time).

the reason i dont suspect another user flagged your post is because you will get an email saying your post had been flagged for removal.

What I was trying to do is saying I'm a model with my webcam and can give anyone a special link where they can get a discount and view "my" webcam and all the other girls on the site. All they have to do is email me.
I posted this in the erotic service section btw.

Ya I was about to post the possibilities but this pretty much covers it. I've tried posting free ebooks in the 'free section' and it never even gets posted. It's because some keyword combinations will never even make it. Ebooks are simply not aloud in that section.

it probably got flagged by a filter because of text in your post then. i would think the words "link" and "webcam" would be common words to filter on, but im just speculating since ive never used those words in a post

Btw: anyone got any tips on how to include an email in your post? Do ppl usually click the craigslist's email and write you an email in outlook express?

I know you have to clear your cookies everytime you get flagged as well, or you risk running the threat of having your IP banned if you continue to do it.

So, if Tor will not let him bypass CL, is there anything that will?

i am not sure if there is any proxy that will work, ive never tried any other with craigslist. if you live in an area with lots of unprotected wireless networks, its easiest to just use some of those in a rotation. most cable companies switch ip addresses for its customers periodically, so when you use one out, switch to another, and by the time you get around to using that network again, they will most likely have a different ip address.

or you can just use a free dial-up access with a regular modem for posting. each time you connect you will have a different ip address. you dont need blazing speed to post to CL

yeah you can use dial-up or get a sprint broadband card....... its basically the same,but the wireless card is faster. i use EZadPoster......best CL program out

I also tried a post for that brring thing saying I was a chick and pissed at my boyfriend and wanted to screw someone in his house. I had 75 emails by the time I got home from the office. The phone never wrang, I thought that was odd. I emailed my account to check the autoresponder and WHOOPS, the name the email came back from was Bart Black.. No wonder no one called.

The same problem I had.
When I used proxy and changed the words, the ad showed.
