How to Remove a Yahoo Answers Page from SERPs

One of my sites is losing sales because of a negative Yahoo answers page that turns up when you search for the site.

How do I remove that Yahoo answers from the SERPs???
It is ranking No.5 - directly under this site.

I need is removed ASAP with BH, GH or WH techniques.

Your input would be much appreciated guys!

you migh ask Yahoo or Google nicely, maybe that helps

no its not ironic, its the only way i think.
if it was a competitor, you could try to deindex it by lot of BH linking, but i dont think that can be done with yahoo pages

You could report the page to Yahoo or something but your going to need a good reason

What I'd do is buy the company name domain in quite a few extensions (.net, .org, .info etc...), build small websites on them and do a good amount of linking. If the company isn't that well-known it should be enough to knock Yahoo answers off of the first place.

Another thing I've tried (which may not work on Yahoo answers, I did it on a random forum) is to spam the page with loads of porn keywords to make the page really spammy. Ping the hell out of it and report it as spam to Google. That'll hopefully get rid of it, although if it's Yahoo answers they may notice the spam.

Work your butt off to create 10 or so sites (pages on sep sites) that out rank it. If it is still killing sales then 20, etc.. if still, then you might have it on multiple KW.

outranking it and burying it to the back pages will do the trick. Even if you bombared it with viagra backlinks the main domain came from Yahoo and will be very hard to have it taken off the rankings.

What a bad way for a competitor to put smudge in your brand, or is it true that your brand just sucks? The latter will be very hard to contain as more people will come out and put dirt cards on the table.

Okay thanks - I am optimising social media profiles like FB & Twitter with my brand.
As de-listing yahoo answers is proving near impossible.

Why don't you make 10 yahoo answer accounts and post positive things about your website?

I would then promote them via social bookmarking and some article marketing.

High PR blog comments will help as well.

Would it not be open to negative comments again and un-controllable as it is user generated content.
Would all 10 yahoo answer articles rank?
I feel it would be better to optimise social media sites that I control and other alternative domains with my brand in them.

That way I have total control of the content on my brand name

but my brand by no mean sucks - it is tried and tested.

I have now got a wikipedia page for the brand - but it is ranking on page 4.
Shall I:

1. Leave it alone until it naturally gets to Page 1 OR
2. Build some brand name links

On a serious note - the Wiki page is still live.
Is it advisable to build links to a Wikipedia page?

I don't really bother with the whole 'link pyramid' thing, so I couldn't really comment. Personally, I just view a wikipedia link as being an indicator to search engines that a site can be trusted more than one which isn't.

Start a new yahoo answers page and make it better optimized for the keyword. Then promote it heavily ... have it overtake the other question.

What you may end up with though is your positive yahoo answers page on top and the negative one paired underneath it -- in which case you may have to do it a second time.

Good tip from phpbuilt. You could use Microworkers to hire people for like 20 cents to post (positive) comments on that new Yahoo answer. Also on the answer page that's ranking now by the way.

Also just an idea: Hire 100 microworkers to post a comment on the answer page. Yahoo might see it as spammy and remove the question. I have not tested this!
