Folks,

If I use my own salesletter or blog to "sell" a click*bank product, I've heard that it would be possible to place the direct order link on my webpage so that my "prospect" never has to visit the click*bank product owner's website.

Would you folks know exactly how this can be done, please?

Also, how do I load my affiliate link before they click on the direct order link ? (cookie stuffing?, using an image tag? any other way?)

Thank you.

Go to the order page of the product. Right click on the order link. Copy the shortcut and paste in notepad. You will see the link to the order page. It comes in different format

One format is

hxxp://www.clickbank.net/sell.cgi?link=VendorCode/1/ProductName

whatever may be the format. you just replace the VendorCode by AffiliateCode_VendorCode in that link to arrive at your direct affiliate link to the order page

where AffiliateCode is your affiliate code. There is an underscore separating your affiliate code and the vendor code.

In your sales page, you code the link to the order page in php to disguise your affiliate id.

This method works well if the buyer is visiting your page for the first time. But if he has visited a page by other affiliate, it can not override the previous cookie. To overcome that problem you need to stuff your affiliate cookie in the sales page. You can get the code here

thank you sikandar!

i just learned about the direct order page but the cookie problem was holding me back. now you have helped me solve that problem.

jw, how much has it improved your earnings?

friends i never used clickbank but i m intersting to know is this really works?

Hmmm. I've just tried this on a product whose sales page I'd like to skip. The link to the order page is hxxp://1.strangenumber.pay.clickbank.net/

I assumed 'strangenumber' was the vendor code and tried hxxp://1.strangenumber_affiliatecode.pay.clickbank.net/ but it doesn't work. Any idea of how to get round this?

You need it like this.
Code:
http://1.YOURAFFIILIATEID_strangenumber.pay.clickbank.net

Your affiliate id goes in front of the vendors id and after the product number. There must be an underscore between the your ID and the vendors.

So I if were to be the publisher on clickbank, how would I protect myself so this does not
happen to me.
Thanks
B.

Great tips Sikandar especially the cookie script. I've never heard about this script.

I'm on my way to redo all of my sales pages.

Ah - the wrong way round! Thank you.

And, as a publisher - what's your problem? You still get the sale - it's just that it doesn't come from your sales page. Why would you care?
