Well in that case is there any chance you can send me one of your AA lists and your database so I can see why it isn't working for you as I am unaware of others having this issue and am unable to recreate the bug. I am kind of stumped as to why it is not working for you and can only suggest sending me this info so I can see what is wrong with your database / list.

I'm sure you already have my email address so just email me the link to your DB and AA list (preferably zipped or rared into a single file) and I will look into it as soon as I get chance.

Hi Jim

I have emailed you my DB and AA file.

Hi Jim

I have emailed you my DB and AA file.

Thanks I'll have a look into this today.

I'd like to know this as well

There are many ways you can use to check your new backlinks, you can wait for them to show up in Yahoo siteexplorer or you can run a simple link check on the list of commented links.

There is going to be a link checker added to NHSEO, hopefully by the weekend, so you will be able to do it in NHSEO soon.

how many instances is everyone running?

On a home computer you will likely be able to get 15-25 depending on your computer and connection, this could be higher if you have a decent connection. I'm sure a dedi server would work fine also.

Wait are you asking how many instances of the app or are you asking how many profiles? Because if instances I cannot advise using more than 1.

Hi Jim

I have emailed you my DB and AA file.

I took a look at your AA list and DB. The 55k links or so that were already in your DB also included the whole of your 6k list that you sent me. As I stated earlier the list is always checked against the existing list in the DB.

If a link is present in the DB it will not be added again, this is exactly what is happening here for your entire 6k list.

First I checked by running the add targets code to see what was happening, after it had run I checked the numbers and everyone had been found in the list previously. I also thought I would double check by going into the database and ran about 20-30 queries to check random links from the 6k list to see if they indeed were already in the DB.

All links I looked for in the DB were already there, without exception. I could have gone on but it did appear like it was just a case of the tool not adding duplicates.

I am more sure now than before that there is nothing wrong with the adding of targets. If you want to be certain you can always find some way of checking the two lists, if you do not have an app to do it or the coding skills to do it just load the big list into a text editor the the 6k into another editor. Once you have the two lists open copy a link from the 6k list and do a CTRL+F find to see if the link from the 6k list is present and Im sure you will find everyone is already present.

I hope that clears it up for you.

so you are supposed to run multiple profiles in the same instance?,i.e multiple campaigns in 1 instance? please clarify

what is your definition of instance? as in how many different instances of nohandseo are you running, should only be 1, i see no reason why you have to or would even want to run 2.
other than that, to avert confusion, don't use the term "campaigns" and just use profiles as everything is just named a profile,
fwiw, i'm running 18 profiles currently.

so you can run separate profiles all at once, i.e promote different websites all at once? correct,

Lanx has pretty much summed it up here.

Thank you for that Lanx. Each profile runs in its own thread from one instance, if you try to run multiple instances from the same folder you will have a major issue whenever the tool accesses the database which can be every second or less while running.

The tool easily supports multiple profiles at once and there isn't really a need for using different instances when handling multiple profiles. Only time would be if you needed to run it on multiple computers, but you would need multiple licences for this (obviously I would do a decent discount if anyone was interested in multiple licences).

I hope that clears it up at bit Spawn, thanks again Lanx.

Yeah its multi-threaded so no need for extra install / instances. Just add more profiles in, then when you start it each profile will get submitted at the same time. You shouldn't see a performance hit until you get to about 15-20 on most domestic broadband connections.

Hi

If your only promoting one web site. Seonohands will not allow you to have more than one profile with the same home page.

So I copied the installation folder 10 times and now have 10 instances running each with there own database.
Works perfect. Is this the best way ?

all of my footprints seems to have been erased and now the tool wont work, is there any way to add them back, and maybe add more?

you deleted your footprints? try moving your database to a safe location and reinstalling the software, then copy over your saved DB.

I guess it could be. If you wanted to promote individual pages you could just add them all as individual pages instead of redoing the website numerous times. You would be better off targetting individual pages as you can target the keywords and anchor texts individually also.

Why did you remove the footprints? Just add the string below into the tool or download the database again and overwrite the current one. Overwriting the current database will result in losing all of your profiles though.

Blog Comment Footprints:
Code:
+%22Leave+a+Reply%22+%22Name%22+%22required%22+%22will+not+be+published%22+%22Website%22
+%22CommentLuv+Enabled%22+OR+%22Enable+CommentLuv%22
+%22This+site+uses+KeywordLuv%22
+%22Comments+links+could+be+nofollow+free%22
+%22Top+Commenter%22+OR+%22Top+Commenters%22

Trackback Footprints:
Code:
+%22You+can+leave+a+response+or+trackback+from+your+own+site.%22

After you have added these make sure the blog comment footprint consists of 5 lines and the trackback footprint has 1 line.

you deleted your footprints? try moving your database to a safe location and reinstalling the software, then copy over your saved DB.

This will not work as all setting are saved to the database you would be overwriting the new working database with the old non working database. Cheers though mate.

Still doing blog-comments - come on guys this is 2011.

And more. Are you unaware that Whois links can get you indexed in a matter of hours and that comments and trackbacks will increase rankings? I have this running on sites and they have all increased traffic.

I am not the only one that has seen this benefit either.

damn guess that db saves everything.

Yep pretty much.

does it matter that a really crappy site i have shows 9950 no follow links and only 90 do follow in majesticseo?
oh it also became unranked in alexa going from 20m at the beginning of the week to 300k now unranked, is that an alexa dance?

I think search engines are the only ones that could tell you if no-follow/do-follow ratios matter. I would imagine not as most public platforms for people to post and talk about topics are nofollow now so the vast majority of everyones links are going to be nofollow. I'm sure df links are more beneficial to nf links but you should be targetting both as an all nf or all df link profile is just not natural in the eyes of SEs.

Also Im sure Alexa is just based on traffic, if it isn't recording traffic it isn't going to rank you. It is not like Search Engines.
