Ok. There are tons of posts about people who claim to have done this or that with dropshipping. Tons of posts about people who claim to be or know dropshippers. But no real evidence that anything actually gets done here. I haven't really seen any posts that such and such is a great supplier or any real useful information outside of one or two posts here. Additionally, there doesn't seem to be much action here in the dropshipping section. Has anyone here honestly gotten any useful contacts from here and is anyone actually willing to share reliable information? I just want to know if this is a dead section and hence a waste of time?

It's kind of obvious, people don't want to share the info of their supplier because then you would be competition to their income.

I do not see what your trying to get at? What are you looking to dropship exactly?

Erm...if you see posts about people being dropshippers...have you tried, perhaps, contacting them? I see posts all the time about people offering to dropship certain items, like apparel, software, etc. I would just assume, and I may be wrong, that those would be the contacts you are looking for...

I thought I was pretty clear I'm not trying to get at anything. If you're going to have a section of the board dedicated to drop shipping then it should be active with useful up to date information.

Lets face it no one on this board is gonna be the next multinational rep corporation. There are people here from all corners of the earth and the market is certainly large enough that no one here needs to worry about starving.

People in China with a exploding population and tons of factories making the same thing are getting filthy rich and they do not worry about another factory opening because they know the demand far outweighs the supply but the little mom and pops on this board are actually worried that the rep market isn't big enough to share info? Thats laughable.

If no one wants to share their sources that is certainly their perogative. But then what really is the purpose of this drop shipping section of the board? All the other sections of the BHW people share techniques fairly openly so I really don't get it.

As for what I want to dropship. Thats easy. I want to dropship whatever will put the most money in my pocket. But none of that matters if no one is willing to share supplier info. BTW I'm not here to just take and not give. I am willing to share sources that I have if others are willing to do the same.

Of course I see people on here saying they dropship can get what you want etc. and yes I have contacted them. And here's what usually happens, not always, but usually. If you get a product/price list you realize these people are not wholesalers at all the prices are usually ridiculous and leave no real room for profit so you have wasted your time. Or you get no response at all. Or the person is no longer "in that business". Thats why I asked if anyone here is actually for "REAL" meaning currently doing business as a actual WHOLESALE DROPSHIPPER.

NotinKansas, I share your sentiment totally. I get he feeling that most of the people in these sections are just all talk. I'm not saying that everyone is like that, but it sure is a lot of weeding out to do. It's totally frustrating.

Definitely need to seperate the real from the fake, just with any supplier anywhere you go, not just BHW.

Listen I understand why people are reluctant to give out their sources. 1st it takes time to find a reputable source oversees that will give you the pricing you want, but dropshipping SURE they will do it but what customer wants to wait a month and half to receive an item or pay $25+++ to get it?



Ebay is a different monster because it is very likely that your supplier is competing with you and you will never beat his price...afterall he sold the items to YOU at a profit.

I find it very annoying and frustrating in this section. It is always the same, offering products or services. Then when contacting, either no reply or some price-list. If asking for further details, no reply at all. If you offer something you should have it and should be willing to supply it. Offering something and not have 3 mins to reply to PM isn't really the way business is done ....

Some merchants(?) don't give response to business queries, so when you find someone like that you know you'll be losing a lot more dealing with them. Isn't it a nice red signal when you come across those dead ends?

When you're tying to establish a good business partnership, you've to go through many trials & frustrations before you find someone who is good enough. Think it this way: Better to get annoyed and not lose lot of money than lose lot of money and also get terribly annoyed.

@ OP,

It's a tendency of most people to not share their dropshippers' addresses. Why would those people shoot into their mouth by giving that info and making you their competitor? Many so-called dropshippers can only be actually resellers, so they cannot give you the real wholesale prices.

Try to research Google for related information and you may come up with the real dropshippers. Then ask them which forums they are active. Then go to those forums and find out about what reputation they have (what their clients are saying about their service). Then be more cautious and find out if their clients are getting blacklisted on eBay and other places... You see, a long-term positive association needs you to be a 10x James Bond.
