Edge: after month's doing SEO you must recognize by yourself where you get best results from, don't you?
On my SEO list I got exactly 3 websites that are PR5 on my contry and I can create reviews of my products inside it. So I wrote 3 contents (not spunned), but each one complementary of the other's, publish it with a anchored backlink to my site and "tchadam", at least top #3 in less than a week.
But, my domain is aged, I'm listed on dmoz, and considered authority for many keywords. Updated every day and no automatic backlinks at all. I can get an article to rank a keyword (medium dificult - micro niche - ~ 3000 exact searchs) in page #2 easily without effort/any backlink. But I need to write good stuff and wait at least 15 days to get google alone rank me better. If I start to build backlinks in the same day/week I've created the content = I get the dance forever (I guess backlinking without get at least 2 weeks indexed = google sniff the bad smells).
I don't even need to bookmark anything. Google find my new pages by itself (insite linking). I guess it's the better way.
I never outsourced article writening. If you doesn't know how to write about your products, who else will?!?
I have been testing wordpress sites, and again I can say that wordpress doesn't pass too much juicy and I can't figure out why yet. I can tell you I got another domain (not mine, it's a article site) that runs wordpress, PR4, that allow me to put one backlink on the articles, and when I create an text on it, it ranks very well (page #2) without any efforts, but it seems that it doesn't pass too much juicy (little or no SERP movement's for me).
