this is such a bullshit diagram, you'd have to count how long it took googlemail to get 10 million users, because everyone who registered for googlemail can automatically use +1.
i registered for googlemail 3 years ago since they introduced +1 it just took me 1 click to favor a site to be counted as one of the +1 users.

• Microsofts network of sites gets more unique visits per month than facebook (about 150 million more)

• Facebook is roughly the same size as yahoo. Nobody thinks yahoo is any good?

• In 2010 facebook made around $2 billion, google made $29 billion

• plus is the fastest growing website in history

Obviously not all of these stats are relatated to google+, but it shows how much power google has. Basically, if they want to launch something and make it a success, they can. It's all based on user feedback: buzz and wave were crap, and google saw that users weren't using those services so they canned them. Plus is a whole different ballgame, response has been highly positive, and google will now throw everything they have behind it

Perhaps you misunderstand. Google+ is a social network. It is invite only, and not everyone who has a gmail can be in Google+.

+1'ing a site is different. Anyone with a gmail can do that, but that is totally separate from Google+.

I just joined Google+ yesterday, and honestly, I like it more than Facebook. However, as I've said before in this thread a monopoly on the internet would be a very bad thing, especially for IM'ers. So I am torn on G+. On one hand, it is better than Facebook and we will be able to exploit it better. On the other hand, giving this much power to Google is dangerous in my opinion.

Google Plus has already crossed 20 million mark!

Google it and you will find a lot of sites mentioning the news of Google + crossing 20 million!

Although, its not officially confirmed by google yet

and yeah, I completely believe google + is here to stay,

The concept of circles is awesome! No more farmville/mafia wars updates from friends on google +, I can share to a specific group by using circles, for example, a circle of Black hat world members!!

And for us Internet Marketers, Its actually a plus point, Now, we have one more social network which we can use to get more traffic/visibility etc!

The reason that + is something to keep an eye on (as it will be very important) is that big G has a better infrastructure to do things that FB is trying to do now. Big G will be able to integrate + into its search engine much easier than FB can with the Bing engine. Everyone targets big G because it continues to be the dominate search engine. Big G can just use what they already have and integrate it into + which is gonna be a huge factor (think of video chat and stuff like that). Right now however I consider + to be FB with better privacy settings.

Is it just me, or is big G trying to take over the world?

No everyone using Google can't just get in they have to have an invite to Google + . The +1 is influencing Google searches since it's started in beta. You'd be surprised!

Who knows which one will be better in the future?

Wow, impressive graph....I really do think that Google + is going to totally dominate FB and Twitter. The fact that they are only offering people to join by invite is giving a sense of mystique which is drawing people in!! If only I owned Google, lol.
