Disqus or Facebook Comments = Better for SEO?

A disqus comment is not going to count as a backlink... The vast majority display your link in JS not on the page so the search engines will never see it. Some will show but most will not count; it depends on the version they're running but all in all I'd steer clear as most likely it is displayed only in JS for a user to view/click but not a search engine.

facebook commenting is in an iframe and the search engines will not read anything posted in it

I thought all DISQUS links were nofollow? I know a lot of guys who still post on them and swear by it though...

Was gonna post on sites which are DISQUS and FB enabled by using footprints!

My question is about putting commenting software on MY blog, not about putting links to my site into other people's blog's comments.
