Formatting WP for Adsense

Could anyone walk me through the placement of adsense code to get ads to show up on both 'categories' and 'date' search pages. Like my users can search various months for old posts, and obviously different categories. Is there an easy WP file to throw the code in.

Generally archives.php in your theme is where those pages are generated around so you can put your ad code in there.
