I am thinking about purchasing some high PR domains to use as a private network. But I have a few questions.

What is the best place to buy high PR domains?

How do you buy a domain without losing the PR when its transfered over to you?

You can try and get them from godaddy auctions. dropday.com com is a really good place to find them too, but you have to have an account.

Be sure to host the site on different ips for best results.

I have heard that if I transfer a domain from one host to another and also the WHOIS info, then it will lose its Page Rank. Is that correct?

I have no experience in this, but it wouldn't make any sense. Websites change hands everyday and if this were true ... then every time someone buys a website, it will lose its Pagerank? I don't believe so

I backorder'd an expired 5 year old domain and it shows up now as newly registered, also it lost pagerank, so weird.

I guess if you buy it on auction it keeps its details.

No domains do not lose pagerank when / if transferred from one registrar to another. You should be attentive when purchasing high PR domain names, especially if you see a bargain like, buying a PR 7 domain for $1000 usd, its too good to be true

Also most of the times scammers can actually fake the pagerank so be sure you check on multiple pagerank checkers

I have dozens of high PR domains, if you have any questions let me know and I can answer them.

1. Make sure the domain is indexed.
2. Check to see if it has back links that are equal or greater than its PR and make sure they haven't been removed
3. Make sure it isn't fake (http://www.checkpagerank.net/)

The only time a domain loses PR is if it loses its links or it gets deindexed.
A good place to buy PR domains is DP

godaddy auctions for sure.
great place to buy. try it

As long as your transferring ownership like all the a.h sites on Godady keep there pr as long as it's not being registered as a newdomain you will keep your pr once the site is removed from auction and you ate able to register it as a new domain you now have lost pr hope this clarifies things up
