No, they are private proxies. I had the same problem before using proxies so I thought it might have been because I wasn't using proxies so I added them in and the problem continued.

But it is not that comments are not posting. It is not even pulling websites for comments to post on.

Yeah I understand that it is not searching for blogs. If you want to upload the database to a server and PM me a link to it I'll take a look and see what is going on with your case in particular. Sorry about the problem but if you get the database link PMed over to me I will try to get you sorted today, this really is the quickest way to get to the bottom of what is going on here.

I can't put both products under the same profile because the anchor text would be incorrect 50% of the time.
If I try to set up two profiles for the same web site it tells me that the same profile exist.
The only way around this is to have one profile to the home page and the second profile to an inner page.
Is this the best way of doing it ? Or would it be better to run a second instance on the same pc ?

You could do this in many ways really. You could run different instances but if you are thinking of using the same keywords for each instance it would be posting the different links to the same targets which would get you flagged as spam real quick and you would see a very low rate of success with the comments sticking.

You could add each product page as its own profile but again make sure the searching keywords are different so it is not targetting the same targets every time. If you flag a profile as being a website it will automatically crawl that site and create links to each subsequent page, if you want links to just a single page or if the pages do not share a single theme do not promote as a website, promote each one as a single page type profile.

try doing "page" option, do you have a lot of pages? you can just specify the exact page you want it to create backlinks for too (deep linking), honestly if if you had to create 10 seperate pages, it's not difficult, really just a bit of copy and paste.

Ok guys for everyone that is using this now I would imagine you have already noticed but Yahoo has shut off access to its search results API early. I was expecting to have a couple more months before having to switch to its new one.

I apologise deeply for this but it is out of my control. I will be implementing the new API and get the tool up and running again as soon as possible. I imagine it will be tonight.

Okay guys my apologies for not being on top of this Yahoo API change. I have transferred the code over to use another search provider API now which has no plans to shut down their API yet. I have uploaded the update to:

No Hands SEO will now reset the keywords list for your profiles which will mean it will re-search for your keywords and find new targets based on those keywords. This will not add much time to your posting.

This isn't the feature update that has been talked about, in fact it is possible this may get pushed back a day or so while I make sure the tool is making full use from the API. As always let me know how you are getting on with it now guys.

Thanks for your patience while I get these teething troubles out of the way. I will be emailing all users very soon to notify them that this update is, sadly, not optional.

so like, how do i find out if a comment posted and sticks some type of link checker? is it all just in the database file?
i've ran this thing almost 24/7 (maybe 22/7) since mon morning and the db file is 250megs, while i'm not worried about space at all since this is probably 4-5gigs a month with the current websites at 24/7 is this gonna be an issue later on?
also is there a way to make proxies stick? i'm using private so i want them to load up all the time, or is it because i'm using the portable version? should i just use the regular install then? thanks

Its not an issue with the portable version as it is an issue with proxies saving I think.

I have looked at this and it appears that the proxy list isn't being saved, this is not expected and will be fixed tomorrow, I want to check into the new API and a couple of other things before I push another update tonight. Hopefully if it goes well I will have more features added tomorrow also.

The database size is not an issue for the speed of the program as its based on sqlite and doesn't keep the whole database in memory while it is running. In a future update it will be possible to remove pages that are no longer needed and free up space. How much memory is used up while you are running?

For now I would stick with the portable if everything else is fine with it. When I release the update it will be fixed anyway.

I would also be interested in how I can check all the posted comments and trackbacks for approved or sticky ones? Is there a way to export a list of all urls the software has posted to for each profile?

Yep, the export feature is already there. From what I've done with scrapebox, I'm expecting roughly a 1-2% approval rate for comments.

I am VERY excited to have this thing working. Huge thanks to jimbobo for being so hands on in this thread and for taking all of these considerations and implementing some.

My only question: is there a limit to how many threads I should be running on my home computer considering I work on my computer all the time and don't want it to slow down too much?

Hi Jim - I still needed the words in the bad word blacklist in addition to the blacklisted domains since some german users also have comnetororg domains as well, which would not have been blocked with the blocked domain alone ;-)

A feature to import/export profiles would be nice as well, since everytime you reinstall the software you need to setup your profiles again. If we could simply export them before making a clean installation we could import them after installation is completed.

And how does the "Add multiple links to Single Profile" option under the "Add profiles" tab do exactly? Does it work like this. It uses the keywords that you enter to search for trackbacks and comments. Then it takes one of the spinned anchor texts and posts a comment or trackback with one of the domains or URLs added in the "Full address list"?
So basically this option cycles through different URL/Anchor text combinations?
But where is the difference between a normal profile setup as "Website" and this option?
Can you try to explain? And maybe you can give an explanation when one is preferred over the other.

Does anyone have experienced the same behaviour. I stopped it to change some settings and then I restarted it. Now I have it run for almost half an hour and it is just Searching for blog pages and trackbacks. It gets hundreds of founds and everything but it only posts to whois sites. I hasn't sent a trackback or comment in half an hour.

And even when it says "Found 468 pages" it does not add them to the potential list of blogs or at least the number in the profile view does not change.

What is going on?

It seems it is in a loop "Searching" -> "Found" -> "Searching" -> "Found" ->"Added keyword xyz" -> "Searching" -> "Found" -> "Searching" -> "Found" ->"Added keyword xyz" but nothing happens.
It does no longer post a comment or trackback.
