Is this something I'm spacing out on?
If I have a link like this:
<a href="ht**tp://myredirectingsitedotcom/offer">CLICK HERE</a>

And at myredirectingsitedotcom/offer I have a 301 redirect via htaccess to h**ttp://myaffiliateoffercompany/myreferralcode

Will I get credit for the clicks or signups??
In other words I guess I"m wondering if the redirect does something to negate getting credit for bringing the customer.

Hi loclhero,

It looks you will since it's just a redirect on forward to through your affiliate link. I've used these.

Another suggestion which I find useful for tracking is if you are able to create subdomains on your myredirectingsitedotcom, create subdomains to help see what products are getting traffic.

Example:
Product 1 could be product1.myredirectingsitedotcom
Product 2 could be product2.myredirectingsitedotcom

or

Offer 1 could be offer1.myredirectingsitedotcom
Offer 2 could be offer2.myredirectingsitedotcom

In each subdomain, still put the redirect in the .htaccess like you are doing, but instead all of them being in the main url's .htaccess, you will have one in each subdomains directory.

Excellent smallstorm. Thanks for that.

im glad you found a way, i was just going to refer you to something.

If you don't mind I'm always interested in what's out there so I'd still appreciate any suggestion or referral.
