YTA is gone!

It has come to our recent attention that users of YTA and FBA has been using our product maliciously as a spamming tool.

Due and in compliance to to the joint copyright infringement and providing unsolicited advertisement case received from Google Inc., Time Warner Inc., Sony BGM and Facebook Inc, Cease and Desist order ruled and reviewed by the local government unit on July 15, 2011, we are removing these tools from the public.

We prohibit anyone from using these tools further.



wtf? this is just outrageous, he couldn't update it so he came up with this excuse? lame! I thought he could do better than that..

I doubt there is going to be any fixing. Its time to move on..

Now what seems more likely, that he couldn't update (I've seen coders update as late as 1 month)... Or that he got multiple C&D letters for his software. Decided to take it down instead of getting sued, and then played 'oblivious' to protect himself.

^ I'm going for the latter one.

It's alright, I'm a coder myself I understand there might be legal glitches hard to fix and totally not in a hurry since I have my backups in place. I'll leave BHTech a reasonable time so we can understand if the site was defaced, if this maybe depends on a delay about updating the software (not very pro in this case, but still this is BH..) as someone suspected or if this copyright notice is actually real.

In this latter case I'll hardly doubt there will be much Arby and his team can do, but I wanna stay positive and since the sw served me so well I wish him the best. On the other side I'm also a customer and if there's a problem that can't be solved it's professional to let your customers know... Well, before they find out on their own...

But I'm a very reasonable guy so I agree let's see what happens and let's avoid to put the cart before the horse. Best.

Damn, I planning to buy YTA but I have been putting it off the whole time. Seems like my laziness actually paid out for once.

On another note, I can understand why the developer gave up on it. The new Youtube SPAM filter makes it pretty much impossible to comment spam even manually without using new account/unique comment/new proxy for every single comment. It's going to be very hard to get around these new restrictions but I really hope that a bot like YTA will come out in the future.

Either the site has been hacked and defaced (has happened before to him) or he's done a runner with the cash he earned. If you were in his position where Youtube is constantly changing their code to make it harder for YTA to function then ofcourse it will be very time consuming. Time = money.

still 30 days are not over buying this software (Actually I like it,but its of no use if we cannot use it)
Previously Arbyee used to answer the problems in a day

Nah, the first part is not really true. I have my own backup as I just wrote aka a system I coded from scratch that fully automates certain parts of YTA and fully completes certain things YTA left out on purpose or not...

Obviously got to know the inside out of the YT backend almost by heart because I coded the whole thingy on my own and I can assure you that YT changed very little to their code in months... So it's unlikely that might be the reason.

I agree that -IF it's NOT a temporary defacement- it's not very professional, but I'll say it again let's not draw any early conclusions before Arby has the time to speak. He might be in a different time zone, YTA might have pissed the competitors that reacted by attacking the site, it might be a real notice or well, it's also a possiblity that BHTech might end up like many other "businesses" that turned out to be a dud because they stepped into a game bigger than them.

One thing is sure, it was good while it lasted! In any case, we'll see.
