So I'm in the middle of building out an extensive review website that will break software packages out in tabular form and show comparison features between toolsets. Interestingly enough, there are a BUNCH of tools that never get discussed on this site and I'd love to know of other tools/bots out there that people may know about but haven't spread the word.

So basically, we all know who the heavy hitters are, but what about the lesser knowns?

List any here that you've come across, and any personal experiences for better or for worse.

I'll start the process (no aff links, either links to the product sites or links found elsewhere in ads)

Blogsense - it's not completely unknown, but it's usually passed over for the easier WP-Robot. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty damn amazing.

No problem, i figured it'd be useful for all of us. I'm a huge user of toolsets, so anything new that's off the radar and that I can use to create/strengthen another avenue of revenue for myself is definitely beneficial to explore and understand.

Or is everyone drinking from the same tool koolaid pot these days?

Better yet..any developers back in the day start a seo tool project and then let it slide due to timing, finances or ability?

As a matter of fact, I just put two and two together recently and found out that our very own Jimbo, who is the creator of thefreeblogcommenter (which again was ahead of its time when it came out - and free!) is also the creator of the new "No Hands SEO" program.

I'm beta'ing it now and having favorable results. He's also the owner of Total Seolution as well which, in my opinion, after it gets revamped will bring a ton to the table.

No hand SEO looks nice and easy, but all the links it has posted blog comments to in the sales video doesn't exist. And it also seems pretty random what and to where it posts, although I know it probably searches for the keyword in google and find the blogs.

I believe it's a quick way to get blacklisted with askimet to use this - with scrapebox or similar you can take precautions and control whats happening.

Not directly related to SEO, but I love crazyflx's Google Suggest Advanced for scraping massive lists of keywords. There's really not a comparable solution for building huge scrape lists for AA blogs. From the time I started using it, i've scraped just over 60m keywords effortlessly.

True, true. If you've got Scrapebox or something similar, you probably don't need NHSEO. It has proxy capabilities to get around the akismet issue, but I think some of it's strength is the ability to feed it lists of sites and then have it go off and do its thing.

Jury is still out on it, but it is an effortless program

While its true you have more control over what blogs you post to with scrapebox no auto commenting tool is immune to akismet. If you are planning to post lots of comments to blogs you are more than likely gonna end up with your domain on akismets filter.

Akismet is only installed on about 20% of blogs so you can still use it to get backlinks even whilst being on the list. As others have pointed out you can still use AA lists with No Hands SEO to try and get around akismet but as these blogs get spammed they will invariably install akismet and you are back to square one.

In the end akismet bans are more likely than not when doing any sort of commenting whether it is using a fully automated solution or doing it semi-auto with a tool like comment kahuna, the free blog commenter or fast blog finder.

The randomness in No Hands really depends on your keywords and your use, or not using, AA lists. If you want to get links from relevant sites just enter in relevant keywords, if you want to get a higher success rate you can target less technical niches (i.e. farming or knitting).

As for the lack of links on commented pages from the salespage video this is also par for the course when dealing with non-AA lists and posting to newly found blogs. You can only expect a small percentage of blogs to accept your comment when targetting new found pages. I wish there were some magic way of knowing which blogs were auto approve but currently the only way is to post to it and hope it sticks. At least with tools like Scrapebox and No hands you can target thousands in a relatively short space of time and end up with hundreds to thousands of links with very little effort.

I've started looking at automated tools for building links to my tier 1 articles and I've started using no hands seo (too early to give it any feedback mind).

Out of the other auto submitters there which would you recommend? If you could give a quick breakdown of your experiences with each that would be great.

This is a decent free Google/Yahoo/Bing keyword scraper that I've been using for a while. (Can't post links yet...)

Works pretty well and can find thousands of keywords per run. Great alternative to MS/SB if you need a free solution. Also nice to scrape the keywords and throw the whole list into TT/MS for analysis.
