TBS Update issues

Using the beta TBS V3 and trying to update I'm getting an error, I was wondering if anyone else has this?

Try running it as administrator, that fixed it for me.

Which error? The one caused by TBS not wanting to close properly or the exception error? If it's the exception error that everyone was having issues with on the forums, I'd recommend downloading and reinstalling manually.

I always get an error with it not wanting to close properly ("error opening file for writing), however, since it was first released. All you have to do is close the program manually and hit "retry" and it should work fine.

Yeah Its not working for me either.

It crashes as soon as the update has fully downloaded.

Yeah it's the exception error, i'll try reinstalling. Yeah i've always had the failure to close properly error as well.

Gah reinstalling didn't help, just have to use the older version for now. Cheers for the advice though.

Thats funny downloading and installing worked for me.

Between that and piece of junk Tragic travis 4. At least TBS is in Beta.

This solution works for me :-
1) Manually download & save to disc the latest version from hxxp://thebestspinner.com/downloads/SetupTheBestSpinner3.exe
2) Clear all items from the folder where the program is currently installed , ie: c:\Program Files\TheBestSpinner3
3) Run SetupTheBestSpinner3.exe downloaded at point 1)
Should work fine again - I've just upgraded to 3.022

I haven't had any problems with the updated version. Def. a much needed interface upgraded. Though, responsiveness of the software is still lacking and it often freezes or crashes. Even on my powerful quad core with 6GB ram. :/
