As most of you noticed all the buzz around the +1 and all the services that offer google +1 (paid or 'free').

Also, you might already seen the news that +1 is now more popular than the 'tweet this' button ... from twitter :D

Know.

As +1 goes viral around the glob, especially with the help of 'blackhaters', I feeling that google is screwing us at our own game. Our own blackhat technique.

It was obvious that google as a smart mother F$%^, but this is to backhat not to notice.

It's not hard for their algorithm to filter artifical inflation which, is going to end up in some major Google slapping.

Most bh'ers will do something crazy like 1,000 +1's for a brand new site which, is a bit odd, not only that if the voting accounts die out or people de-vote you there are repercussions to consider. For the short term though... USE AND ABUSE! (Affiliate sites anyone?) haha

I agree with you on this and I was saying about google taking advantage of blackhaters to promote his service. ;)

It is BH 'cause, its easy to game. How if I have 1million google accounts and have a bot that could +like my site? So it counts right? yeah! It's damn BH. So lame on Googshit IMO.

I think it'll get regulated quite quickly by Google as I'm sure they don't want their new baby going down in flames. However, I'm guessing some quick monetizing would not be that hard to do at the moment.

What is so blackhat?
You guys got it wrong.

It not blackhat, it's simply not what they are saying. Google is trying so say that this is only for people decide what is cool and what not. They are trying to hide the fact that this will help Google ranking.

It won't help any Google+1 service or anything like that.

Google is smart enough to see if those +1 come from "fake accounts" or real accounts. By fake accounts, I mean accounts that don't have any activity on Google services (Gmail, Youtube, etc).

So, don't bother buying +1 services, it does not worth anything. It might even drop your authority/ranking.

I believe Google penetrates into several niches with +1:

- social search
- social bookmarking
- social promotion

I wouldn't be surprised if Google will start to categorize your likes in the near future, giving you an alternative to your usual bookmarking sites. I wouldn't be surprised if +1 will become commercial as well - i.e. a legal way to buy your way into the top SERPs.

Anyhow, I removed Facebook's like buttons from all my sites, because it proved to be useless over the years (low traffic, 80% bounce rate). And well, replaced it with Google +1.

spor

I tried a +1 service to see how it was working and sort of feel it out. I stopped right away after checking my analytics and saw that all the visits were coming from the service site. So I got paranoid and stopped, I think G will be hip to this (if not already) soon and really not like it too much.

I agree with you. Google + 1 is a very wise tactic to detect fake accounts since they have all the users' database from their gmail to their youtube accounts.
